Is the Republican Party our ethical and possibly mortal enemy?

What would you call a political party that isn't there to make your life better?

What would you call a political party that demonizes you?

What would you call a political party that spits on you and tries to destroy everything you believe?

What would you call a political party that believes the Constitution can be ignored?

What would you call a political party that gets into power by peddling ignorance, bigotry and hatred?

What would you call a political party that doesn't care whether or not you starve, live, or die?

I would call them my enemy.

If you disagree with what I've said here, I'd sure like to hear your definition of the word "enemy."

1. Definitely!

And so are all those who support their policies, regardless of nominal party affiliation.

In other words, a republican-at-heart is just as bad as the other kind.

2. Who do you consider the Republican party?

I know a lot of Republicans and conservatives that vote that way but are good friends of mine. We understand that we disagree politically and do not go there.

They are not the Republican party. I would leave out the name Republican and say corporatist or something like that. And yes I consider corporatists the enemy.

12. Average Americans are not my enemy.

We are not in Civil War II.

I lived like people were my enemy for a long time and I don't have time for it anymore.

They are an enemy to ALL people of the USA, it's just that many of their voters are too stupid, greedy, and hateful to recognize it.

8. I don't know how old you are, but I can remember Reagan and others before him.

Reagan was an amiable imbecile who Republicans (and many others) loved and a man who almost destroyed us economically and in so many other ways.

And regarding extremists, Nixon was a somewhat sane president regarding domestic policies, but a total extremist/madman regarding his criminal view of what he could and couldn't do to get reelected.

We could, of course, go further into the past and include the years of Joe McCarthy and the rest of the criminal/Mafia tactics of the Republican Party. But why bother. Most people won't take the time to learn history.

9. History was always my favorite

Subject in school. I know about those events you speak about, however, though we had crooked politicians, and extremists in some high places, I don't ever remember a time when common people on the street would rally against stuff that was considered to be an improvement to their lives.

There was also better education during those years, however since the 8 years of George Bush, and the emergence of Fox News and Right wing Radio, things have changed.

People against health care? Poor people against the Rich being taxed?

Our world has changed, since those days when Dwight Eisenhower or John F. Kennedy were President.

Back then Education was important. Bush allowed Education to fail.

Its true, if you don't educate the common people, then you can easily trick them into believing that something like Health care for all, ...is Evil.

7. Yes, alas, they are

Once upon a time there were some decent Repukes, like Jacob Javits, Kenneth Keating, Everett Dirksen, Charlie Halleck, Margaret Chase Smith, Maureen Neuberger, Henry Cabot Lodge, and (what the hell, why not?) Nelson and Winthrop Rockefeller. The current crop of Repukes has a little in common with them as we current Democrats have with Orville Faubus, George Wallace, and Lester Maddox.

Uh, Maureen Neuberger was a liberal (D).  A one-time U.S. Senator from Oregon.

10. I truly truly believe that the republican party and now joined by tea bags are the enemy of the USA. If they weren't why do they block bills and legislation to help the people of this country. Instead they twist their shorts in a bunch because they can't help corporations enough. THEY ARE TREASONIST DOGS AND THEY ALWAYS WILL BE.

14. Yes, today they are a bankrupt party both morally and ethically and have been ever since Bush became president. There is always change, so although they are a bankrupt morally reprehensible party today, they could change some where down the line and become a better party.

16. 100%

They can do without me, and I feel the same. It may not be as serious as matter vs. anti-matter, but they are bent on my destruction and I see no reason to feel otherwise towards them. And I mean pretty much every republican I meet, and I know many.

18. They want to destroy the President, destroy people & destroy our country.

They are the worse threat facing our country. They are far more dangerous than any foreign military, illegal aliens or even any terrorist group. Republicans want to destroy our country purely for political reasons so they can give away our treasury to the wealthy and corrupt corporations, like they did under Reagan, Bush-duh-First and Bush-duh-Second.

You know, I always wondered why Oscar Wilde, in past years, never made the top DUmmies (Primitives) of any particular year.  Not even a runner-up.  Maybe the large-proboscised primitive needs more publicity.

Probably because one pictures him as the character whose name he chose all dolled up in Peter Pans garb posting mindless drivel.

He just makes one look the other way.

Oscar Wilde, who's about 20 years older than I used to think he was--a Vietnam-era veteran--has provided many near-classics, in addition to his usual ban-the-Republicans-imprison-the-Republicans-kill-the-Republicans drivel.

Including the time he shut the cat up in the bedroom, with no access to sanitary facilities, and then Oscar Wilde got all upset and bent out of shape when the cat pissed on him.

So there's another side to Oscar Wilde's storm-trooper Reinhold Heydrich personality.

11. The Right is everybody's enemy

Even, everybody on the right?

They have issues with everybody.

Compared to people that screech about anyone who doesn't think like them?

They have problems with Liberals

No, we have a problem who look at what happened when the Directorie overthrew the French Republic and think that was only a small start.

They have problems with Europe

Why shouldn't we?  How many untold billions did we spend rebuilding them and providing a defensive shield, only so they build normally unworkable socialist systems, and then lecture us like a child having the temerity to lecture it's parent.

They have problems with South America

No, we have a problem with tinpot dictators that terrorize their own people and nationalizing the investments of US companies.  President Lula, of Brazil, is left leaning, most of the American right has no problem with him.

They have problems with Asia

This from the sight that hates any Chinese made product with a passion only rivaled by their hatred of the American right?

They have problems with Russia

Only because Russia is openly supporting international bad actors, what are we to assume of them?

They have problems with France

Yes, as is historically usual, France was colluding with evil tyrants and against anything that might interfere with their profits.  By the way, are they ever going to go get their construction cranes from Baghdad?

They have problems with Canada

I doubt the average Canadian agrees with the effort to turn his country into a multicultural society.

They have problems with Third World Nations

We have problems with governments, not people.  The two are very often not the same.

They have problems with feminists

Equal doesn't mean same.

They have problems with gays and lesbians

No, you have a problem with logical tradition.

They have problems with News sources

journolist, anyone?  We have good reason to be suspicious.

They have problems Mexicans

No, we have a problem with illegal immigrants, regardless of nationality.

They have problems with African Americans

Someone who votes for a political candidate solely because of the color of his skin is what?  I admit, I do have a problem with that.  So what?

They have problems with Scientists

How many scientists are arm twisted in to making reports in which the introduction disagrees with their evidence if they want more funding?

They have problems with environmentalists

No, we have trouble with knee jerk reactionaries whoce policy preferences would be destructive.

They have problems with animal rights activists

Any sane person has a problem with PETA and their ilk.

They have problems with non christian philosophies and religions

You may defend other philosophies, but you know nothing of them.

They have problems with atheists

Only atheists that wish to supress religious freedom.

They have problems with Hollywood

It ain't exactly the home of John Wayne and Gene Autry anymore.

They have problems with community organizers

In this case, community organizer means professional agitator.  The President's influence on the community he “organized' was destructive.

They have a problem with peace activists

John Stuart Mill once commented that their was nothing more degenerate than a man who had decided that there is nothing worth their life.  He was talking of a direct comparison to war.  He was right.

Am I missing anyone?

The list of the lists various hatreds would be far more numerous.

They seem very angry and miserable, which in their world means they had a good day.  Tomorrow, they'll wake up and tell themselves the same lies they tell themselves everyday in order to reboot their anger.  We are here merely to observe and laugh at them.  And so we shall.

Not to be confused with the Dimrat party, that has been taken over by extremists, and now the "progressives" have skimmed many of the ultra communists off the top, and call them "mainstream".
