Title: Dummy Throw-down thread
Post by: zeitgeist on July 23, 2010, 08:16:05 AM

It is always fun to highlight the Passing Parade of Hypocrisy that passes for rational thought on Skin's Island

This little fire has just started.

I keep hearing, most recently on Anderson Cooper, that the left does the same thing as Brietbart.

   Really?

Yes really:

6. In June 2003 Paul Wolfowitz said something that was taken out of context.
And the story was retracted by the original source (The Guardian) and I do recall that people were saying we should spread the out-of-context meaning anyways. I may have been among them.

.....and is completely ignored.

Have you noticed that Beth puts "LOL" in nearly all her posts?  Vacuous.

I learned a long time ago that I would be in far less trouble if I told the truth than if I tried to lie.  Unlike Bubba C, I never seemed to have a facility for it either.

Really?

No, you don't.  Brietbart's video portion included the part where the woman said she learned that it shouldn't matter the race of the person when it came to her job.  If the roles were reversed and a liberal had put up a video of similar nature on their site, they would have edited that part out.

However, that wasn't the whole video.  View the whole 40 minutes and you'll find this woman still has some extremely disturbing (and some would say racist, or at least border-line racist) viewpoints when it comes to race and her political views.

How about what the DUmmies are trying to do with James O'Keefe trying to paint him as a racist because he attended a conference where conservatives were excising racists from their ranks by debating against them? O'Keefe attended and was an active part part of the anti-racism contingent as noted by black participants. Yet, the mere fact he attended was "sewn together"--if I may paraphrase Olbermann's, Dreyfuss rant--with photos of some of the racist literature from the conference. Character assassin Max Blumenthal started the smear at salon.com.

But salon.com ended up retracting the story but only after the DUmb****s had 2 weeks worth of articles to wave around.

Blumenthal also peddled supposedly racist quotes from Limbaugh even though nobody can find show transcripts of when these things were supposed to be said and heaven knows Limbaugh's every word is available in multiple formats.

Amazingly, Dave Weigel served as one of Max Blumethal's sources for the O'Keefe story.

Who is Weigel?

He was WaPo's reporter covering the conservative blogosphere until he was outted for his extremely biased conversations on JournoList.

You mean THAT JournoList?

Yes, THAT JournoList, the one where liberals gathered to discuss how to smear Obama critics as racists, portray Palin as stupid and dream about using the government to suppress FOX News obstensibly in the interests of staving fascism...or at least making it easier for their brand of fascism.

FFS, Limbaugh can't even take a vacation in the Dominican Islands without being accused of being a pedophile.

Yet, here they complain about the Sherrod affair but they ignore the fact Glenn Beck doubted the video from the beginning but he is enemy #1 over the forced resignation. FOX News didn't even report the story until AFTER Sherrod had resigned and as testament to that fact Sherrod is no longer yammering about suing them, only Breitbart (why keep yammering about something that would never stand up in court when her leftist, racist asshole colleagues will carry her water).

So, do the lefties practice being smear merchants?

5. All I have to say to Anderson Cooper is

PROVE IT. Come up with at least one example.

The days of making blanket statements about "the left" are over, buddy.

Put up or shut up.

Ummm....maybe not:

According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.

On a similar but side topic, libs either don't understand or don't want to understand, that if the MSM was truly reporting the news, and not their slanted version of it, then the Rush Limbaugh's and Fox News' of the world would have never come into being because the market via the MSM would be doing their job.  It's because they quit (or in most cases, never started or intended to start) doing their job that this "new media" came into being.  The media obviously chose sides.  If the MSM had chosen the side of Republicans/conservatives, then you would have seen the rise of a liberal Rush Limbaugh, and you would have seen something similar to a Fox News that tried to balance out the slant to the right.  Simple human reaction; if the people aren't going to get the truth from the media, then they'll seek it from elsewhere.

I seem to remember some bullshit story published by Newsweek that caused a few riots and deaths on the other side of the world.  But that's okay, they meant well.

Hey Snugs...when did she stop about Fox and Beck? Did she retract anything she was saying on yesterday's talkshows, or has she just stopped including Fox and Beck?
