Shirley Sherrod, the former Agriculture Department Georgia Director of Rural Development, says she is a victim. A victim of poor reporting and, as she contends, clear bias and racist coverage from both Andrew Breitbart and Fox News.

"When you look at their reporting, this is just another way of seeing that they are (racist)," Sherrod told me about Fox in a lengthy interview Tuesday night. "But I have seen that before now. I saw their reporting as biased during the Bush Administration and the Clinton Administration."

Beck and a significant number of conservative bloggers came to her defense.

Now she is falling back on this threadbare canard which no longer makes the RW flinch. So they will respond to her but waving bye-bye.

Dumb, just absolutely dumb.

Fox noted this morning that they did not run their first story on it until after she had resigned.

Color is only skin deep, but stupid is all the way to the center of the bone marrow.

wow.

Wonder if the Ag Dept chief was looking for a way to get rid of her, and didn't have enough arrows to do so...as based on her continuing actions....she is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Then all this falls into his lap and makes it real easy.

So now Sherrod has been caught race-baiting thus re-affirming the very narrative she says was unjustly hung on her.

Sheperd Smith was blaming Breitbart for this.  :bird: him.  Breitbart played the WH and the NAACP the same way he played ACORN by releasing just enough video to get a reaction from them.

There's quite a bit of information on the original OP (I think it's in "Breaking News") regarding her participation in a class action lawsuit against the USDA last year. Her organization, defunct since the late Eighties, garnered $13 million. She and hubby secured $300,000 for "pain and suffering".

And she wonders why she gets shitcanned?

 :rotf:  :lmao:

Except that this time, her "pain and suffering" will be so intense that she'll seek damages into the millions.

She's had a taste of money, so now she'll be going for some serious $$.

Anyway, the point to the video wasn't really her...it was the organization that calls the Tea Party racist while members applaud and laugh about a clearly racist action.   Somehow, that seems to have escaped the attention of most media, also.   :thatsright:

Andrew Breitbart has even come out and said that Sherrod was not the target, but the NAACP was.  They drew his attention when they went and did the declaration that the TEA Party has racists.  His intent was to show that the NAACP has racists in it , also.

The NAACP declares their racism right in their name...just as the TEA party declares their views right in their name.  It is so typical of the leftists to be completely blind to the most obvious facts possible.

Any one wonder how this altered tape came about .?

This woman is being used by someone to make Obama look bad----If he can possibly look worse.  Or is it.?

Someone one in my openion is working very hard to divide all Americans,
as long as there is infighting among all groups they can be picked off one by one.

United we stand---divided we fall-------Is this woman a scape goat to divide the Black comunity .?

Last thing Obama needs is for his followers and the Black Community to unite against him. To wake up one day and realise what his agenda really is.

I was watching a program about the Rev. Manning of New York a very angry black pastor, he has outright claimed that Obama is EVIL.

Interesting, ----

Back in the mid to late days of the civil rights movement was the first time I heard it referred to as Negros Against All Caucasian People
Of course that was back when they were still called Negros. Once slums became ghettos the world changed.

Long, long time ago...I remember it as being Negroes Are All Colored People.

Vesta, take your laptop and go stand in the corner until you get up to speed on all of this, altered tape??   Don't make me tell you again and no sneaking out for a smoke until you are done either. :whatever:

I loved Limbaugh's line that he is not the "post racial president", he is, "the most racial president".  Bingo

Sherrod wasn't smart enough to STFU and bask in the good will when she had a chance.

Now her real racist history and attitude is emerging because racists are, first and foremost, self-absorbed:

Read the whole stunning article.

Any poster in this forum would be banned for spewing that sort of crap.

Negroes are actually colored Pollacks.  Politically incorrect to the extreme, but that is what I heard as a kid.  I realized later just how unfair it was to the Polish people.

What I'm seeing is Anderson Cooper setting up Sherrod in a magnificent, though plastic, scenario as a victim. Cooper himself was cleverly set up on the Gulf Coast, as if he's grabbing the opportunity to get a few minutes with the beleaguered Sherrod who is overwhelmed and slightly ditzy with all the media hype and frenzy.

Horseshit.

She accuses Breitbart of being a racist, all while some not-very-flattering photos of Breitbart are being shown in the backdrop. She herself appears to be standing in some sort of building, also "caught while underway someplace important" but it's apparent to me she's seated in a swivel chair.

She made no bones about seeking legal action against Breitbart and her set jaw and flashing eyes pretty much got past the "oh, poor me, I'm a victim because the big, bad white guy slammed me".

It's all horseshit. That's another reason I can't stand watching any type of network news anymore.

I ran across this link on a dump post either yesterday or today.  Consider this to be the best negative spin applied to the issue and think to yourself how you would decide this case short jury nullification of the facts.

We are in possession of a video from in which Shirley Sherrod, USDA Georgia Director of Rural Development, speaks at the NAACP Freedom Fund dinner in Georgia. In her meandering speech to what appears to be an all-black audience, this federally appointed executive bureaucrat lays out in stark detail, that her federal duties are managed through the prism of race and class distinctions.

In the first video, Sherrod describes how she racially discriminates against a white farmer. She describes how she is torn over how much she will choose to help him. And, she admits that she doesn't do everything she can for him, because he is white. Eventually, her basic humanity informs that this white man is poor and needs help. But she decides that he should get help from "one of his own kind". She refers him to a white lawyer.

Sherrod's racist tale is received by the NAACP audience with nodding approval and murmurs of recognition and agreement. Hardly the behavior of the group now holding itself up as the supreme judge of another groups' racial tolerance.

The point in bold is what dummies will choose to ignore in their over wrought righteous rath.  It is the point Breibart seeking to highlight, not Sherrod.

The link may be odious to some but be bold and take a peek.
