Tonight, They're Laughing At All Of Us
tonight andrew breitbart is laughing at us
tonight sean hannity is laughing at us
tonight glenn beck is laughing at us.
tonight the teabaggers are laughing at us.
shirley sherrod, a valued public employee, her life and career was ruined and destroyed based on a lie.
and our supposed leader and his administration has proven they will not stand up for us. they will accept whatever lies the right wing offers up to destroy innocent people. shirly sherrod is just another victim to be tossed under the bus.
you couldn't wipe the smile off hannity's face as he extolled how this shows the obama administrations incompetence, their inability to manage a small crisis, wiling to throw people under the bus to appear to be legit. they continue their narrative as if nothing happens but moreso with the knowledge they've managed to ruin a poor black ladies life for fun and was a small price to pay to frame the debate as the obama administration more worried about PR than results.
tonight they're laughing at us. they're laughing at obama. and they're laughing at poor shirley sherrod.
thanks, mr president. I'm SO glad I voted for this.

25. Uh, they laugh at us everyday no matter what. I talked to my Dad tonight, he is a die hard
conservative. He is convinced I am a loon. Me, a moderate Dem. Like I said, they laugh at us no matter what.
I do hope the NAACP and the WH realize they overreacted or were mistaken by the original small clip and reinstate Shirley Sherrod.
You are a loon.
-
Yes we do laugh at you everyday but it's for the entertainement of watching you jackholes scream about all the wrongs being committed when in fact its your side doing it.
-
Sherrod admits on tape that she discriminated against someone because they were white, and the lie is what now?
-
Tonight, They're Laughing At All Of Us
Yeah, so?

Same thing we do EVERY night, Pinky.

shirley sherrod, a valued public employee, her life and career was ruined and destroyed based on a lie.
No...we laugh because you hear the truth and in order to maintain your state of denial you insist it must be a lie.
THAT is why we laugh at you.

Listen to your father. He loves you and is trying to help you.

I'm not laughing at them because of this incident with Mrs. Sherrod. Though I probably don't agree with all her policy decisions and quite likely her politics, I suspect she was forced to resign as the result of a clip taken out of context.
That's disgusting.
-
One of the replies in that thread has the Charlie Brown and Lucy strip with the football.
BWAAHAHAHAHAHAH

Just tonight?

I think you may be right, but do you think the NAACP and the liberal left will take this as an object lesson about tossing out false accusations of racism or will they continue playing the victim and throwing the race card every time things don't go their way?
I'd like to think they might be smart enough to see that, but I'm not going to put money on it.
-

Yes. Without the race card and spineless idiots that bow down when it's played, the victim industry of Jackson/Sharpton, et al comes to an end and puts water carriers like Jealous out of a cushy job of legal extortion.

You're right about that, of course.
But, they can answer for their wrongs, I'll have enough of my own. And I'll still fight their false victimhood whenever I can.

In short, it was a night like a thousand other nights...

Sherrod is a horrible, racist, capital "B" who should never be a government worker of any kind.
However, it's being reported on Fox & Friends" that the White House is starting to stand with/up for Sherrod. :thatsright:

Her comments were taken out of context. The White House fired someone over a youtube clip. Nice leadership.
-
I saw clips, but I haven't seen the whole video. I can understand things being taken out of context, though. All I know is that from what I heard, I dislike her comments.
It's funny though that the WH would pull the trigger on someone without knowing the full story. Incompetence much?

Grossly incompetent.

I apologize -- new clip released:

She needed to be fired. I would like to see the entire speech.
-
After hearing her words, I'm glad she's gone, and hope she is not reinstated.
-
The thing of it is, if obamacare is not repealed, government bureaucrats will be making decisions that affect all of us. Who knows what effect personal bias will have? It's chilling.

20 years ago is a long time and people do change their ideas in that time.
In 20 years I have gone from believing in social change as I was told it would benefit the country, to now seeing just how bad or good some social change can be.
Ideas are fine until they have been tested and the results after some odd years show--just how bad, or good the ideas were due to human nature.
We can have a great idea for America and it's laws, but it takes years for us to see exactly how the changes have benefited or harmed us.
Say you are a farmer and unsatisfied with the quality of your crop. Along comes a salesmen with a new fangled fertilizer. Next year you try it and get a bumper crop. Next year the crop doubles and you are thrilled.
Down the line after 10 years you notice some changes in the crop, the taste is a bit off, the looks of the crop has changed a bit. You realise that the crop is morphing something you don't expect or understand.
You want to go back to the crops you had before this new fertilizer but find the new fertilizer has changed the soil, brought in something that was never there before.
You contact everyone you can think of from 4H to the government experts. Soil samples are taken down to 5 feet and you are told the fertilizers have leached down to this level, to remove all that land to get back to basics will cost you a million dollars.
You win A big lottery and decide to go for it, The government comes in with a stop order, the land you are removing is now known toxic., You can never go back to your old ways, the government takes over your land to sell to a government Pot Growing Farm.
Strange Scenario but in a way this ,wearing a different hat, happens every day in one way or the other.
People will all ways have to battle those with different ideas and life styles, fight crazy laws that intrude on ones life style and ideas.
Say good by to this poor woman that has only recounted her past and make way for those that have a new fertilizer to sell us.
-
I can see your point. However, I liken leftism/radicalism to pedophiles. A very....VERY small number of them change their ideals, or are rehabilitaded. The DUmp has showed me this, the media has supported my thought process on this, and the idiots in Washington D.C. have proved this to be true no matter WHO is Prresident.
-
... I suspect she was forced to resign as the result of a clip taken out of context.
Taken out of context? How?
Look, if you've got someone in her position seeing people as "black farmers" and "white farmers," and that's exactly how she viewed them, then that individual definately needs to take a hike.
Flip the circumstances. If this had been a white man talking about being concerned about all the white farmers losing their farms, and some black farmer acting "superior" came to him wanting his help, and he sent him to a black lawyer so he could get help from "his own people," would you still say it was "taken out of context?"
.

Who was Trent Lott??
http://archives.cnn.com/2002/ALLPOLITICS/12/09/lott.comment/
What did they expect was going to be the result of their boorish behavior toward Bush and other Republicans?
Ends meet Means. Suck on that libs.

Every hour of every day, someone on the internet is Laughing At All Of Us
Fixed for truth.
-
Don't forget how the NAALCP crowd cheered her for taking racial sides.

Here in NH one often hears this phrase: Politics ain't beanbag.
Which is why I laughed my balls off when I heard Kelly Halldorson was running for state Senate in 2008, right after that whole fiasco on SCC.
-
and he sent him to a black lawyer so he could get help from "his own people," would you still say it was "taken out of context?"
Sharpton, Jackson, and the NAACP would be crawling down the man's throat, up his ass, and any other orifice they could squeeze into even if it was out of context. Wouldn't matter. They'd pull the trigger, and ask questions later.
And you can bet it'd be national news for about a flippin' month.
-
Apparently her real work history redeemed her from those evil words and the Obamster fired her without due process, but it still leaves the very damning positive reaction to the words in the National Association for the Advancement of Corrupt Politicians meeting as a legacy.
-
No DUmmies, we're not just laughing at you tonight.
We laugh at you EVERY night.

Sherrod admits on tape that she discriminated against someone because they were white, and the lie is what now?
Actually, this is one of those times when context matters. She was describing something that happened 24 years ago to illustrate a turning point in her thinking. She changed her racial views enough that the farm family and her remain friends. It was her "people are the same regardless of color" moment. Given time and place she grew up in it's probably not unusual. Keep in mind just because the Civil Rights Act passed in DC, attitudes of southern whites were still the same (as illustrated by the southern Dems who fought against it).

Turn the situation around and the libs would be calling for blood even if the person changed his or her views. The only white person allowed redemption was Robert KKK Boid.

I moved to E TN in 1983....27 yrs ago, after living in NC for 4 years.
Having grown up in the midwest, I was surprised to learn that people were still getting crosses burned in their yards!! The last one burned in this area was in 2008! http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2009/dec/17/judge-declares-mistrial-in-cross-burning-case/
The KKK was still quite active, and in some parts around here...it STILL is! It was only about 15 yrs ago, that M was asked if he wanted to come to a meeting in a county up near the KY border. (he didn't)
Depending on where this woman was in GA...things were pretty similar there as here. Right or wrong...what she did 24 years ago, in her mind, was probably justified. To have changed and become friends with a white couple...was not only a "lightbulb" moment for her...it most likely was for the white couple too.
-

Looks like this one has to be scored a two-fer. Apparently the intent was to use the clip to show the racist response of the audience. Point scored. The over-reaction of team Obumble in asking for her resignation apparently was just a bonus. Obumbler's folk got all wee-wee-ed up ( ok wizzed on their shoes ), then made a rush to judgement based on incomplete information. The audience respose was ironic in light of the point she was making but valid to present sinceit show the actual reaction to Sherrod's comments.
Who was destroyed in the McCarthy era, oh yeah two gay Republican staffers, inocent bystaners much like Shirley Sherrod.
Game on.
-
What she said does fit the definition of "an element of racism." Live by the vague accusation, die by the vague accusation.

Thanks for the good summation - I think you nailed it. :hi5:

Thank you.
On one of the Fox shows tonight...they were talking about her father having been killed by a white man who was never brought to trial.
That would certainly explain a lot of her mindset toward white people 24 years ago.
Frankly, I'm surprised she ever altered her opinion.
I can think of several white people that I know here, that would never get over something like that, if the situation were reversed. Even if the black man was brought to trial, and found guilty...
