Isn't this exactly what the hop-heads have been clamoring for the past 30 years? The federal government to legalize pot, control and tax it just like tobacco.

Well DUmmys, there are ZERO backyard or basement hippie tobacco growers selling their product to hippie boutiques. Tobacco is grown and produced by huge monolithic corporations some of which are far bigger than Wal-Mart. The stoner-hippies have come down early from their high because they can't sell without paying taxes and continue their "one bud for the boutiques, one bud for me."

I think it should be just as regulated as any other product.

There should be standardized growing, manufacturing, dispensing, packaging and labelling guidelines and a bureacracy big enough to enforce it all and the producers should be taxed high enough to maintain that bureacracy as well as the impending healthcare costs in addition to any other programs the politicians have been lobbied to provide their ever-ravenous constituents.

If NYC can charge $15 for a pack of cigarettes I see no reason why an equal sized pack of marijuana cigarettes cannot cost $50.

Mr. Bunny

You just don't see the the picture here,  we MUST keep that devil weed illegal.

Think of the JOBS lost, the Booze industry could take a big hit, [no pun intended]

Your family doctor will loose money as writing a prescription for pot means he will get no kick back from the pharmacy's that reward him for every prescription he writes for their useless drugs.

In some city's the cost for our Justice people will go sky high as the Cops, Judges and Lawyers will loose the extra income from looking the other way.  We may have to lay off some of these people as the crime rate will bottom out.

All our expensive prisons and jails will be half empty, less guards.

Mr. Bunny think of the farmers that grow cotton or graze sheep.  When Hemp is legal, those industry's go down also.

Think of the collaps of America if this happends, we must fight to keep and preserve our way of life, No Legal Weed,---besides if it were legal it would be no fun to smoke.
