I've been in Nebraska all weekend visiting family, I'll take the Nevada heat over this high humidity. It's 97 outside and there was a thunderstorm last night.
Seen a concert at the Hall County Fair last night in Grand Island. The line up was: April Wine, Firehouse, Skid Row & LA Guns. Several hours of music.
This weekend in Kearney, when I am staying is "Kearney Cruise Night." I just witnessed one of the largest antique and classic cars shows I have ever seen, and I have seen a few of them.

We just had one heck of a storm.
Gusts of 85 MPH wind followed by emergency warnings on the TV and tornado sirens going off.
I miss the Midwest at times, but I don't miss the storms.
The humidity kicked my butt today. :hammer:

We've had late afternoon storms all week. Had a couple of small, mild tornadoes Tuesday. Lightning struck the neighbors shop across the creek from me. It burned to the ground. He lost 2 tractors and all his woodworking equipment.
About 3 or 4 weeks ago lightning knocked out my doorbell transformer. Lazy me hasn't gotten around to getting up in the attic and replacing it yet. It's not but 40+ years old....wonder if there is any warranty left on it..... :-)

Glad you're having a good time in spite of the weather.
I recently finished a contract in western NE and one of my kids used to work in south central NE. The humidity is sure awful, but the people are great and the smaller towns seem to have quite a bit to do, at least the ones I'm familiar with.

Oh now Rob, sir.
Nebraska weather strengthens the character.
