Virginia screws the unemployed

Okay, get this. Up until January 2010, Virginia allowed you to receive unemployment as well as social security. My husband was laid off because of a 're-organization' which meant they were getting rid of the older employees. We had expected him to work for another 4 - 5 years but when this happened he applied for early social security. When he applied for unemployment (because he still wanted to work and we needed him to work) they said, no problem. In Virginia you can collect unemployment and social security. He asked them every time he had to renew his application. Each time the answer was the same.

So, the Republican assholes change that law in January, but the Unemployment Board continues to send out checks. Now they want it back. Seriously? Where is it supposed to come from? There are no jobs to be had and his social security was less than half of his take home pay. And of course my State Senator is a ****ing Republican and my State Delegate is an 'Independent' which means a Republican in the closet.

Assholes!

Oops, guess what?  Governor Kaine (D) announced back in 2009 this would happen.  State law calls for this to happen when the unemployment fund reaches a certain (low) level.

The stupid hurts.

Governor McDonnell also rolled back spending to 2006 levels, so in one year, he went from a $4 billion deficit to a small surplus....

Also, Virginia is the second fastest growing state in the nation in terms of jobs created....

Now if we can just get rid of our 2 dumbass senators:  Jim "Waterhead" Webb, and Mark "Moron" Warner, this state and country will be in a lot better shape....

SUCK IT, DUmbasses!

BTW, DUmmie hheckyeah, your husband is RETIRED, not UNEMPLOYED!  Stop double-dipping so the actual unemployed can get their benefits, asshole!

Gad!!  Congrats on that!  You make New York feel like such a  :loser:
We'd run a lemonade stand into the ground given half a chance.  Morons in this state put idiots in charge of money and power.  (I just got here 2 years ago.)  I need a new state.  Never sat and contemplated Virginia.  Think I will.  Sounds lovely.

Come on down!  The mountains are lovely, the people friendly, the weather mild, and (here in the SW part at least), liberals are few and far between....
