THE FARMERETTE UP OVER THERE IN WISCONSIN
Original message
dunno if this is the right forum to ask this question...
...but something is going on in a house down the street and I have little experience with this kind of thing.
For several months now, when I walk past a particular house down the street I've noticed the overwhelming skunky smell in the air. The house has every window covered. Many different people come and go in many different cars. This is an extremely quiet dead-end suburbanish street. Several travel trailers and an old railroad car are also on the property, all covered closly up and with power lines to them.
D'oh. I finally realized that they must be growing dope. I'm really naive.
But what is strange is that the house is situated this way: on one side lives a retired LAPD detective and his wife. On the other side lives a retired local sheriff's deputy. And directly across the street lives an active deputy sheriff. So this property, which pretty obviously is a drug operation, is surrounded by law enforcement.
How have the growers escaped notice? Or is something else likely to be going on?

1. One possibility
The ex-cops are in on it or at least taking a cut of the profits.

3. well that's what I'm wondering
...and that is a really scandalous idea, considering the chummy neighborhoody persona of these three LE types. I find that possibility way more frightening than having a pot farm and dealership in the neighborhood.

4. Count on it!
Otherwise, there's no way it would go down like that at all.

5. Is growing for medical purposes lawful where you live?
In some places, including Colorado, you can obtain a legal license to grow.

I've smelled pot before, and I would give it a few different descriptions, but I don't think "skunky" would be one of them. That describes a really horrid smell. The particular DUmbass didn't say whether it was in town or not, but I've heard Meth, and meth labs described as "skunky smelling." Not saying this Top Primitive's story is true, but meth dealing/making would be what I'm thinking.

methlab.
not sure why the DUmpmonkiez are annoyed.

I agree - meth.
DUmmy might want to have her renter's insurance up to date in case that place catches fire.

Fixed....
I live in the "meth lab capital" of the US, we have about 2-3 fires/explosions a week here, usually from some sort of meth activity. The newest fad is the so-called "shake and bake" method, where all the ingredients are put into a 2-liter bottle, shaken, and allowed to sit until done. The yield is low, and so is the smell, but the bottles have been known to "go boom" from time to time....
I'm surprised DUmmie asswire hasn't gone over with a plate of "hash brownies" and asked for free samples....

"Skunk Weed" has been around since the early 80's. I saw it, smelled it, and knew some who smoked it. It is high octane pot and really does smell like a skunk.
They're growing dope and the only reason the hippie-hayster doesn't call the real cops, is because she would lose her supplier.

I think it has become more like, "How do I get the goods on them so I can cut myself in on some of the profits?".....socialism and wage limits be damned when I"(DUmmie) can make an easy pofit.

Yup. My moonbat BIL used to grow it in Humboldt County (until he got popped and ended up working for the government in Sacramento). The more little red hairs it has, the tighter the buds, the more it will smell. When I was in college and my husband and I were just dating we'd make extra money cutting them off the plants after they'd been hanging upside down on my BIL's bedroom ceiling. You'd end up with so much sticky THC on your hands that you'd have a good amount of hash balls at the end of the day.

This makes me wonder if it's not a Pammyish story to flaunt the fact she's got a rock solid connection for her dope in the hood just down the street that none of the other DUmmies have.
