I just got off the phone with a local news station here and it wasn't pretty...

I was watching the nightly news on KSL here in Salt Lake and they were airing a report on a supposed list of illegals living in the city. It was mailed to the media members, local government and law enforcement. The news reporter went out of her way to say that this wasn't verified and didn't know how credible the list was. They even said a local county sheriff's department didn't think it was credible enough to do anything about it.
Nice story, right? Well the kicker, and what pisses me off, is that they read names that were on the list. They also showed the names and have posted the list to their site.
So I ripped into them. I told them it was totally unprofessional to list the names, especially if they didn't even verify the legitimacy of the list.
And it is. This is inciting a mob and I said as much.

22. Call the fed and report them for potential human rights abuse.
As well call the local sheriff and police department and inform them IN WRITING WITH A COPY GOING TO THE LOCAL COMPETING MEDIA) that a local station is inciting to riot.
In other words force multiply their paperwork. They will either be forced to do their jobs as journalists or hopefully exposed for the hacks they are. At the very least they might take the list down.

have a serious security breach on their hands. Call Sec. Janet Napolitano's office. It'll take them about 24 hours to locate the source. If that doesn't work try, Holder's office.
Without access to a DHS or law enforcement database, this list is meaningless.
What. No sending it to Keith? Oh yeah. That's right. Nobody watches him anyway.

These are the same buttwipes that wanted and cheered the posting of names and addresses of Prop 8 donors. These are the same people that cheered the posting of names and addresses of bankers and their families. It was the DemonRat party party that also tried to get a list of people with CCW permits in some state recently.

No she doesn't. She said the other day that she has 6 cats in there. So, that makes 2 big German Shepherds, an insane brother, her stupid crazy self, and a mother to go with the 6 cats. Barely enough room for the Coleman cookstove. Good thing her son's in the hoosegow, there's no room for him.

Yep the Dims were applauding when one of the local stations here posted my personal information to their website as a CCW holder in a nice, easy to search database. I sent them a nice little note expressing my displeasure and holding them responsible for any losses or actions I might have incurred or been forced to resort to during the time my license was in effect and why.
They blew me off for a couple of days before they answered me that they had a right to post it. (We'd already covered in the email that they really didn't and why) and that they'd already taken the list down because the story was over. It turns out a few years later the rest of the story came out and they actually got slapped down for it and the state made them take it down. But in typical lib fashion they neglected to say anything about it to any of their viewers.
