Well, here are a couple of pics of our yearly trip to what we affectionatley call "Bug Lake".
First up, the kidlet who is getting bigger, and is now taller than her mother, and she's just 12!!

Next, a few fish:

And finally, me towing a large "round" which made a table for the campsite we use. We had run across a PG&E employee who was clearing the path that lead to the lake above the one we were at for the yearly dam inspections of a downed tree. I jokingly said "cut one that would make a good table". Well, he did and I went and got it!

Eventhough my daughter diden't catch any fish this time, they had "lockjaw", that is, they were "locked" into an insect hatch, she still had a great time.

My goodness....she must have packed everything but her future wedding dress into that backpack....or did you make her carry everything.
It's good you 2 can get out and have a little fun. :-)

Lolz, she packed that all by herself, and actually did a pretty decent job. That pack used to be my mothers, which she used from the early 70's through to the 80's. I think it's awesome that her granddaughter loves it.
She's got a tent, sleeping bag, thermarest, and a 1 man raft packed in there, plus all her "stuff".
She's a great kid.
