Why do republicans love stupid people? Updated at 11:26 PM
Republicans love Beck, Bush & Bachmann. They like Palin, Limbaugh, Coulter, Quayle, Rumsfeld, Keyes, Hannity, Savage and O'Reilly. They love all the stupid people on Faux Noise, in the Heritage Foundation and everyone in right wing 'think tanks'.
All of the above have varying degrees of stupidity. They all make stupid remarks designed to manipulate even dumber people.
Republicans don't seem to like any leader who is extremely intelligent. Presidents Carter, Clinton and Obama are all extremely intelligent men, but right wingers hate them all. They prefer people who range from virtual vegetables to dumb asses. The last reasonably intelligent republican president was Nixon. But today's mutant right wing would reject Nixon because even he wouldn't be radical enough.
BTW, I am the author of the Presidential IQ Study almost ten years ago. I created a fictitious 'think tank' in Scranton, Pennsylvania called the Lovenstein Institute. I gave Bush an IQ of 91 and Clinton an IQ rating of 182. I wanted Clinton's IQ to be double Bush's IQ. My article was so believable it was picked up by many news organizations and spread around the world. I was especially happy to see it printed in European countries just as GW Bush was making a tour there. My article even tricked Garry Trudeau into making a Doonesbury cartoon from my spoof article.
From Wiki:
Criticisms and controversies
In August 2001, Trudeau fell for a report by the fictional "Lovenstein Institute" that stated that President George W. Bush had the lowest IQ (91) of any president in the past 50 years, and that former president Bill Clinton's IQ was exactly twice that of Bush. After mentioning it in Doonesbury, Trudeau made a public retraction."
Looking back, I know I was being far too kind to Bu$h, because his true IQ couldn't be as 'high' as 91 with his lifetime of being an alcoholic and because he wasn't born with very much intelligence to being with.

18. Am I Mensa material? Ha! Absolutely not...
-- a fact that would appear to make me more than qualified to be Vice President or Speaker of the House! Honest to God, where do we FIND these people?! Did we learn nothing from Dan Quayle?
Apparently not. So let us all please join hands and say a prayer for the continued good health of our Chief Executive. Amen.

6. A thought on this...
After being a target for bullies when I was in elementary/middle school and then spending nearly 10 years in the education field, I've noticed a trend. Stupid people are scared of intelligence (my guess is because they don't understand what is being discussed) and tend to band together. Hence the famous, "He's the kind of guy I'd have a beer with" reason for voting for Bush. Not to mention that to make themselves feel better about being less intellectually capable, they bully the intelligent people. I've seen it time and time again. It was the empathetic, sensitive, intelligent children that were terrorized by the bullies. So to answer your question, the Republicans love stupid people because they are the biggest baddest bully on the block and thus become the "leader" for all the stupid sheep.
But I don't know anything, I'm just one of those liberal elitists who taught in attempts to brainwash American children into being socialist drones....

and do not blindly follow their "leaders" while acting against their own best interests.
Stupid people are the perfect audience for the crap that the repukes and their talking heads spew every day.
They follow like lemmings...over the edge of the cliff to their own destruction....while the manipulators step aside
and laugh while they watch them all go over the edge.

For 'leaders' that are supposedly so sooper-intelligent, they certainly seem to be cagey about producing their old grades or academic work to back it up, which tends to indicate they are just damned liars and everyone who buys it is a complete dupe and tool.
The Democrat sooper-genius club actually demonstrates a surprising lack of substance, even a refusal to own up to their own work, and it has come up with every contender they've had from the 2000 election to date - Gore (Failure as a student), Kerry (Actually grades about the same as W's, if not slightly worse), Hillary (So what was your dissertation about again?), and of course the Big Zero (How the F do you become president of your law school's Law Review without ever writing anything good enough to get published in it??? W.T.F.??? Apparently you can do this at Harvard if you are a member of a fashionable minority, well-heeled, and liberally share your drugs, because it seems they do it by election instead of having any outmoded, elitist 'merit-based' considerations involved).

9. Nixon had a very high IQ... (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x1744483#1746269)
The six Republican presidents of the past 50 years had an average IQ of 115.5, with President Nixon having the highest IQ, at 155.
Clinton had a 182, Carter a 176.

30. Presidential IQ's (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x525933#526177)
Since 1973, the Lovenstein Institute has published it's research to the education community on each new president, which includes the famous "IQ" report among others. According to statements in the report, there have been twelve presidents over the past 70 years, from F. D. Roosevelt to G. W. Bush who were all rated based on scholarly achievements, writings that they alone produced without aid of staff, their ability to speak with clarity, and several other psychological factors which were then scored in the Swanson/Crain system of intelligence ranking. The study determined the following IQs of each president as accurate to within five percentage points:
Hey now. clinton has a 182 IQ. Maybe he's the barefoot bandit.
Looks like a few of the "smartest people on the internet" fell for it too...
And there's probably a few more buried in here (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=site%3Ademocraticunderground.com+clinton+WITH+lovenstein&btnG=Search&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=). Anyone who accepts at face value that Bill Clinton has an IQ anywhere above average is a fool and should not be allowed out of the house.
The barefoot bandit has been caught.

21. Brilliant!
The correlation between stupidity & conservatism was noted by John Stuart Mill in 1866. BTW, based on an analysis of his writings, Mill's IQ is estimated to have been 200.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Next to selfishness the principal cause which makes life unsatisfactory is want of mental cultivation.

John Stuart Mill, Defence of Hedonism
The only freedom which deserves the name is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it. Each is the proper guardian of his own health, whether bodily, or mental or spiritual. Mankind are greater gainers by suffering each other to live as seems good to themselves, than by compelling each to live as seems good to the rest.

John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859
How pathetic do you have to be when you need to repeat the same old stereotypes and prejudices just to feel good about yourself?
And if you folks think the boy king is so damn smart, let's see some proof. Transcripts? Master's Thesis? Every other president/candidate has shown theirs (even Al "crazed sex poodle" Gore) who was a college dropout. Mid-level managers applying for a job out here in flyover country have to show proof of their education. How about just a paper he wrote in English 101? Proof Bill Ayers wasn't his ghost writer...at least an explanations as to why their writing styles are practically identical.
Oh, while your at it...how about proof that people who simply have another point of view are "stoopid"?
