Rationing Oil Consumption
I see no other solution.
Those who use more would have to pay hefty for their consumption and contribution to the oil problems of limits and pollution caused.
Those who use less would no longer be subsidizing those who are gas hogs.
So.... how much oil is one person entitled too?
Hey DUmmie as to the bolded statement, as much as I can afford which is more than you. :-)

3. Try this:
10 free gallons a week. You get a coupon that has cash value and if you want to put those gallons in the bank for say a vacation drive, then you won't be penalized, rather, you are rewarded for saving gas.
Or you could sell those coupons to a gas hog and pocket a few bucks..
He wants free gas money from the government. He fails to understand that everything else he buys would go through the roof.
Another DUmmies says:

4. It is an interesting solution in theory.
But practically, it could not be implemented without sweeping Democrats out of power for a generation.
A very stupid thread.

And who decides how much we can use? and if we're going to be rationed is John Kerry etc. going to be rationed?

I wonder if Ding Dong realises that oil is used in everyday products as well.
PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM Photographic film is a product of the petrochemical ethylene.
PLASTICS All plastic is made from petrochemicals. Every product made from or containing plastic is a product that exists only through the distillation of petroleum.
FOOD ADDITIVES (canned food) Food additives, derived from petrochemicals, help to increase the shelf life of canned food.
SYNTHETIC RUBBER (car tires and shoes) Synthetic rubber is used for car tires and rubber soles on shoes. The demand for synthetic rubber is four times greater than that for natural rubber.
MEDICINE (pill bottles) Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), the active ingredient in many pain reliever medicines, is manufactured from petrochemicals.
SYNTHETIC FIBERS (such as clothes, curtains, and carpets) Polyester, nylon, acrylic are all derived from petrochemicals. They are used for curtains, carpets, rope and even the clothes you wear.
MAKE-UP Make-up, containing oils, perfumes, waxes and color, are derived from petrochemicals.
DYES The majority of dyes we use, ranging anywhere from pens to hair dye, come from petrochemicals.
PAINT Plastic and oil based paints, as well as paint additives, are manufactured from petrochemicals.
DETERGENT All soapless detergents used to wash clothes and dishes are derived from the petrochemical glycerin.
FERTILIZERS/PESTICIDES (show a picture of crops) All major commercial fertilizers are ammonia based, made from natural gas, and most commercial pesticides come from oil.
CANDLES Wax is a raw petroleum product. To find out what you can do to minimize the amount of oil you use on a daily basis, please visit Kick the Habit.

That's what it always comes down to, isn't it? After all the soaring rhetoric about equal rights and power to the workers and saving the environment and blah blah blah blah blah, somewhere in there is getting someone else to pay for you a freebie. Forever with the hand in someone else's pocket.

Plastics is the big one. Weed baggies and many bongs are made from plastic.
Of course, in the DUmmy universe, the new levels of suffering caused by their idiocy can only be solved by adding another 'tax' to equalize the increased costs of keeping them drunk, stoned, fat, and stupid.
