My pick...
Napoleon Dynamite
-
my wedding night video
-
:rimshot:
Anything from Mikey Moore. I tried watching 'Bowling for Columbine' and couldn't make it twenty minutes.
-
I wasn't a fan of that movie either.
My pick is Glenngarry, Glen Ross. I bought it without having a clue about it because it was only 5 bucks, and it has some greats in it. Jack Lemmon, Al Pacino, Ed Harris, Alece Baldwin, Kevin Spacey (my fave), Alan Arkin, etc. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A friend of mine (a former and non-successful actor) told me it is an "actor's" movie, and he loved it. It was AWFUL. I don't know how many other ways to say it.
-
I don't think I've ever tried to watch that movie. As far as I can tell, it's mostly famous for this one scene.

The acting was fantastic. Still the movie BLEW! BIG TIME!
-
Have to think about it...I always quit watching.
-
The Attack of the Killer Tomatos
.
-
Its a toss up. Napolean Dynamite, Sin City, and Date movie. Only made it through 10 minutes of Napolean Dynamite.
-
Beer Fest. Or whatever that movie with Artie Lange was called.
It looked funny, we rented it, and shut it off about 15 minutes into the movie.

Never watched it. But my hubby and another friend of mine have to quote parts of it any time they are together. They apparently loved it, but I knew I might not, so I think I must have decided to go to bed when the watched it.
-
The Brady Bunch movie. Hated it, walked out after 20min and walked into something else
-
Watchmen. Hands down! The director owes me an hour and a half of HIS life.
-
None of those movies you all have listed are as bad as "Solaris" with George Clooney. It's a remake of an equally bad Russian film of the same name. That movie would make even the worst Al Quida terrorist give up after repeated viewings.

Caddyshack II. Yes, they made a sequel. Don't ask me why.

Gutbusting hilarious in its total stupidity. Highly recommend watching this one (without hurling, please) and then immediately put on "Ed Wood", which was a great film. That one resulted in Martin Landau getting the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.

2012
RV (we left 20 minutes in)
-
Religulous with Bill Maher
-
Starship Troopers. It is a spit in the face of the novel.

Starship Troopers. It is a spit in the face of the novel.
Yeah, that would be near the top of my list too. Mostly I just try to block that movie out.
-
Dirty Dancing..... like nails on a chalkboard.
-
Starship Troopers. It is a spit in the face of the novel.
That movie was a walking cliche for low-budget movies from the 90's. The hairstyles, the props (could they make the armor look more ridiculous), the dialogue. Yeah, it was pretty terrible.
-
Dirty Dancing..... like nails on a chalkboard.
Dirty Dancing was awful, but without it, Patrick Swayze would have never had the opportunity to make the best movie of his career... Road House. :-)
-
Starship Troopers. It is a spit in the face of the novel.
Hey now, I never read the novel, but I like the first Starship Troopers.
Another one I can think of is "Twilight." Wanted to see it just for the heck of it, so I sat through it on HBO. Wish I hadn't. The dialogue was atrocious. I can only imagine the terrible writing in the books...
-
Starship Troopers. It is a spit in the face of the novel.
True, but if you think of it as a Warhammer 40K movie with Imperial Guard vs. Tyranids it's not too bad.

Caddyshack II. Yes, they made a sequel. Don't ask me why.
I absolutely love the original. When the sequel came out, I was mystified and had no desire to see it.

Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes! Anyone else ever seen it?

I saw it years ago. It ranks right up there with Killer Clowns From Outerspace .

ANYTHING WITH JULIA ROBERTS
Seriously, what do you women see in her?? I can never get it; she has a horseface, she's bony, and CAN'T ACT.
BTW, did anyone see "Posse" about some black gunsman? It had Mario Van Peebles Jr., Ton Loc, Big Daddy Kane, and some other rappers.
That was the stupidest movie; I wanted a refund.
-
Watchmen. Hands down! The director owes me an hour and a half of HIS life.
+1 That movie was putrid! I know this because I saw Battlefield Earth and would gladly rewatch it before ever seeing Watchmen again.
-
^ Glad someone else noticed. Thanks, mama.
Those Leprechaun (Especially Leprechaun in Space) movies are pretty bad, but I find them funny.
-
Hey now, I never read the novel, but I like the first Starship Troopers.
I definitely recommend reading the novel. It is not as action packed as the movie but the points made about communism being anathema to human life are well made and the characterization is better. The powered armor (hydraulically powered exo-skeleton suits loaded with various bombs, guns, flamethrowers and even nuclear bazookas) is pretty cool too.
On edit: I forgot to mention that the short-lived Starship Troopers CGI series (called Roughnecks) remains fairly, if not completely, true to Robert Heinlein's work too.
-
"Killer Klowns " was pretty awful too

There are so many bad movies it is hard to choose....
-
I actually watched that "Zombiland" today on one of the movie channels.
Yeah...avoid that one.

Holy crap -- so did I and that's the exact movie I was going to add to this list!!!!!!!!!!!! Really, everyone, if you want to watch a zombie comedy movie, watch "Sean of the Dead".

I went to the theatre to see Zombiland with the son and other half back during the holidays.....I hated it...they laughed... both at the movie and me.... :hammer:
I would have walked out and gone shopping if it hadn't been a night movie and the nearby stores were closed... :(
-
Donnie Darko (one giant bunny movie is enough) and Harvey's more fun. Or Brokeback Mountain. Every time that movie's on all I can think of is Cartman saying, "Naw dude, Independent films are those black and white hippy movies. They're always about gay cowboys eating pudding." Funny, they all have Jake Gyllenhaal in them. At least Heath Ledger redeemed himself in The Dark Knight (best character in the whole movie...couldn't even tell it was him).

huh? I'm a woman, I can't stand Roberts and wondered why any man would like her!
-
Vicky Christina Barcelona. If I want to see women acting like Woody Allen...Well, I just never want to see that.
-
Doctor Zhivago.
Show that one at Gitmo. We'll never need waterboarding again. Oh the pain!
-
Beowulf.
-
Anyone else see Andy Warhol's "Daracula"? It was good ansd bad...or.....awful but intreaging......strange but engaging.....

I  You.

Eclispe.

Jerry McGuire. Annoying as hell. Also, they inserted a line in there with a crowbar about how much Clarence Thomas sucks.
Titanic. They lost me when DiCaprio danced his Irish jig.
I do have a soft spot in my heart for Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. I remember my dad watching that and laughing his ass off.
-
Eclispe.
I am glad to say I will never watch it. The fact that that woman's deranged writings made millions (let alone the terrible movies) shows how truly odd a lot of people are.

My son went to see it the other night at the midnight premiere.
Some girl took him.....he was sitting next to a guy - he didn't know - that some girl dragged him too. Son said the two of them laughed and critiqued the whole thing. Apparently the girls they were with didn't appreciate their sense of humor. :lmao:

In the spring I introduced some friends to AotKT. Some loved it. Some felt it was 90 minutes of their life they could never get back. I, personally, love it.

The Day After Tomorrow.
Bullshit on a stick.

Could not sit through it. 2012 was pretty bad too. But I paid for that one so ended up suffering through the whole thing. Just goes to show, never pay for a Rolland Emerich movie.
-
The Day After Tomorrow.
Bullshit on a stick.
Indeed. I totally forgot about that one.
-
Pink Flamingos.
-
I remember one I simply could not watch, it was making both of us physically uncomfortable with its badness. "Last Action Hero."

Agreed, but that soundtrack was great!
