Friday - last day of fiscal. I'm getting drunk.  :cheersmate: And asking a young lady to have dinner with me.
Saturday - curse my idiocy for getting drunk. Pull weeds, clean garage, prime walls in bedroom, water trees, mow lawn, hopefully have dinner with young lady
Sunday - replace booster/master cylinder in 4Runner, wash 4Runner, Mud bathroom, tell myself I'm a stud for date with young lady, watch fireworks from back yard
Monday - paint bedroom, sand bathroom, clean house, build a PPTX, remind myself I'm a stud for going out on date with young lady

 :-)

Not sure yet.

My husband & I both have Monday off.  Daycare is open, so we're dropping our daughter off and going out to the desert to shoot.  We never have time to go out shooting and the opportunity is finally here.

I'm sure we will find some fireworks to watch.  Just not 100% sure yet.

It's actually the 5th, which is the "official" holiday day this year but when I was very young, I did think the parade and fireworks were sorta for me!  :-)

Your weekend sounds fun!!

Work on Friday and Saturday, maybe, but I have Sunday off.  If Work is slow, I might take the other two days off.  Sunday, we'll be trying to keep our gun-shy Beagle calm.

My best friend's birthday is Christmas Eve and she always gets ripped off.  My husband's birthday is December 21.  I'd hate to have a birthday so close to Christmas.

Nope.  Never did get ripped off..  The family was very clear on making it a significant day during the holidays.   And neither did my brother whose bday is 12/27.

Gonna hang around the house. The 4th is my wife's B-day, so I've asked her to make a list of things she'd like me to do around the house.
I think I'm gonna be busy.  :thatsright:

It's not even Saturday and I already got a sunburn.  Awesome.

I probably won't be doing much other than enjoying four days of peace and quiet.  My trip to Memphis was uneventful -- poked around Olive Branch, MS but didn't see much so came back to Memphis for the night before returning home.  It was just too damn hot to be outside.  God, what horrible roads... I cringed every time the pavement changed.  You couldn't tell if it was going to be a four-inch bump or if your car was going to drop into a hole.  Awful, awful roads.

The hotel I stayed at was run by Indians (dot not feather).  Their dish network had an Indian-language station on it.  It was amusing to watch, but the cadence of the speakers threw me off every time if they were speaking English.  Weird.

I splurged and had lobster and crab legs for dinner.

Ya'll need some bookstores or something.  I almost got stuck watching hotel TV.

Did I mention how bad the roads are over there?  I think I'm going to need therapy.

Today: mounted a flag on my patio, replaced my range hood, bought some lights to upgrade the pack patio but found I need a new charger for my cordless drill, cut the grass

Tomorrow: buying a new charger, looking at corded drills, replacing those lights, may replace the kitchen sink

Sunday: Picking up the daughter from the airport, heading to the VFW to celebrate Independence Day

Monday: not yet determined

I took today (Friday) off and did a brake job on the minivan. It's nice to have brakes that don't shimmy.

Took the dogs to the dog park (It's a 40-minute drive one-way, so it ain't no hop, skip, and a jump away). The dogs LOVE the dog park. Lexie, our alpha dog, became the non-alpha dog at the park. Interesting to see that dynamic.

Belle, our golden retriever, was diagnosed with cataracts. She's a little over 2 years old. She's got an appointment to see a veterinary opthamologist week after next. That's another $100 shot in the ass, with the promise of more to come....

Weather was absolutely gorgeous today.

Tomorrow - I have to edit a recording of Harmonium Brass. Oh, btw, we had some professional-quality pics done recently. Here's a pic of the whole mob:

Had polo tonight and dinner tonight.  Polo tomorrow.  Church (since I'm finally home on a weekend) and fireworks with a tailgate party Sunday.  Short workday Monday and some fishing after.

Today is Saturday , got up and around 9AM the police and ambulances got into high gear heading down RT 1.

What the Heck is going on I asked Hubby, and then noticed the month or two forgotten Scanner--tripple trunk sitting lost in the corner.

I moved it into the kitchen where my PC lives and as I did some cooking--Cabbage rolls with Napa cabage as Hubby is not a big fan of regular cabbage got to listen in on the crazy world out there.

So far the most interesting one was a local police department got a call from people complaining about a homeless person selling Bibles door to door.

Seems these were Gideon Bibles that are left in motels and hotels.  Problem was that some how this man had gotten a hold of a few dozen and had no license to sell them.

It was funny to listen to the patrol cops asking headquarters if they could arrest him.    Who for instance owned these Bibles, the Hotel or the Gideon Society.?

The debate has gone on, off and on for a few hours as different cops are calling in to find out the answer.

As the carnage on the roads goes up, the domestic fights, and kids vandalising and getting drunk, the tourists running bare Ass naked at the beach and the usual street crimes occurring 50 fold from the usual, no one knows what to charge this guy with other then not having a peddlers license.

I hate Hollidays in the summer months, the unacoustomed heat + booze and drugs, As the Brits say, people become as mad as a dog in the noon day sun.

When the temperture goes into the 90ies big city police, hospitals and the fire department need all hands on deck.  One or two days of the heat not much problem but when the heat lasts day and night for a week or so, people get freaken wierd.

She's only a little over 2, so it's probably a congenital condition. Goldens are prone to all kinds of conditions. Last year we went through the whole battery of allergy testing. ($$$$$$)

Sometimes cataracts are caused by diabetes, but I think they've ruled that out. We'll see what the doc says.

Oh, you ain't so bad yourself there, dahlin'....  :naughty:

Went out to pick up some pool towels off of a chair, and scared a BIG ****ING SNAKE, that was curled up in the sun 2 feet away on the concrete, into the grass.

I, however, was not scared....just had to change me undies..    :o :o :o

Heartbeat is still at Mach 1.

Well, admittedly it can be discombobulating, and most especially if one isn't expecting it.

That's why you need 12-18 cats there, to keep these unpleasant surprises from showing up.

Watching the Washing DC program on PBS, lots of entertainment, but one thing made me wonder WTF.

They had an Asian Piano player that has been thought of as a genius.  His choice of music was kind of odd, for 5 minutes he played that marching song that as kids we used to sing to as "  Be kind to your webbed footed friend as a duck may be somebody's mother."     If Liberace    [ Spelling?] were still alive, he would have put him to shame.

Tune for the "web-footed" song was originally for "Hurray for the Red, White and Blue..."  Darn duck really stole it's thunder.
