Stinky's "Positive Challenge"

Okay, here's a new kind of thread from me, a known malcontent. How about we all try to post political stories that are positive. This can be a favored candidate getting a leg up on her tea party opponent. It can be the passage of some legislation at the local or state level that does some good for the Little Guy contingent. Maybe a story from some far flung Outpost Of The Empire wherein we actually do something nice and refuse to take money or treasure for having done it.

And dear fellow malcontents: PLEASE refrain from ripping into someone who posts as a positive something you think is not. Instead of ripping that poster, post, instead, another positive.

Let's see if we can get this up to a hundred positive posts.

(This post is serious, but was ghostwritten by Stinky's opposite twin, Sunshine The Clown.)

It would probably be easier to get a room of cats all running in the same direction then to find 100 truly positive posts at the DUmp.

I usually only pay attention to the top 10.

It wasn't the #18 TOP PRIMITIVE OF 2009, the "Name Removed" primitive, who got the axe.

Someone else did.

By the way, of all the top primitives of 2009. how many have been kicked off Skins's island as of now?

Apparently there's been some type of rift between the primtives who wish to worship Dear Leader 100% of the time and those who only want to worship him 99% of the time.  Some of the 99%ers have been cast off the island.  The sparkling husband primitive is part of the 99%.

Doesn't matter.  Come November, they'll all do as they're told.

Number 1 took a leave, tried to sneak back in under a new name and got caught. She's now left the building for good. {cough-cough}

Thanks, sir.

I've been reading, but haven't come far along enough in catching up that I read she was thrown off.

One wonders where she went to.

They're primitives.

This reminds me of Obama winning in 2008, all these leftists were talking about Obama's slogan of Hope and Change, and specifically they were talking about Hope, and I remember saying people have always had Hope, people had Hope when Bush was President, Hope comes from within, it's not something others can bring out in you, we all have Hope deep down inside and it's up to us to bring it out.

But you see, that's expecting far too much of the primitives.

Way far too much.

"Bringing it out" requires both mental effort and intellectual energy; self-reliance and self-help.

You see what I mean?

That's worse than waterboarding to a primitive, or holy water to Dracula is a good comparison!

I totally see what you mean,  the left has decided that an over-reaching Government is the only thing that will make them happy, but their idea of happiness is totally different from ours, their idea of happiness is everyone being equally miserable!

Well, also to "hope," one must have inner spiritual resources, faith.

That ain't describing the primitives nohow.

This reminds me of a riddle, or modern proverb if you prefer, from the Cold War days:

Q.  What is the difference between an American farmer and a Russian farmer?

A.  An American farmer prays for his crops to grow; a Russian farmer prays for his neighbors' crops to fail.
