Just Breaking on FNC.
-
Which means financial reform is dead unless the governor appoints a liberal democrat to fill his seat today. Why would I not be surprised if he did?
-
RIP...the people of West Virginia will miss him.
-
33. He had em fooled.
Hope he finds peace where ever he's at.
-
My sympathy to his family.
-
God bless and I hope for YOUR DUmmy soul you accepted Jesus Christ as your savior and asked him to forgive your ni**er hating, slave owner KKK member Democrat ass for forgiveness before you died.
I have a hard time finding sympathy for KKK negro murderers such as is you, but according to Jesus Christ, my forgiveness level should be up to and including crucifixion!
Oh well, if when you don't make it to heaven, say hi to Teddy Kennedy and Molly Ivins when you reach your final resting place. Their offices are across the hall from Satan.
-
I'll light a
cross candle for him...
-
I'll light a cross candle for him...
Well the sheets will be flying at half mast today.
-
Sad for the family as any death is, but if he was a member of the KKK, and more importantly, if he actually killed anyone on the grounds of hatred; screw him. I hope hell's hot enough down there.
-
Actually, Joe Manchin, although a Democrat, is pretty responsible. I don't look to see him try to rush a lib in to get a vote passed. I have seen him stand against an Obummer edict several times, and he's done a pretty good job of keeping the WV economy stable, in spite of it being a Dem state.
Of course I've been disappointed before.
-
Funny listening to the media list his lifetime activities except one..... they're just DANCING around it. "Controversial viewpoints...." "He really did change and grow throught his career...."
Not surprised.
-
One of the greatest living arguments for term limits, now no longer living. RIP, Senator Byrd.

Thanks for these comments. I was wondering about this even before Byrd croaked.
While Manchin may be pretty responsible, I'm wondering if he'd cave into the relentless arm-twisting that Rahm will surely use to further the Socialist agenda.
Any idea who the candidates for replacement might be? (Note to self: this is probably being discussed ad nauseum on FNC and other news sources.)
-
Does this mean that later this week or next week that there will be all day coverage of his funeral? :censored:

If I read that right, because he kicked prior to 7-3, an election will be held this Nov.

It would seem so, unless the governor decides to try some shenanigans, but I doubt that wil go over too well.

Dear Lord, I hope not. I don't know what would be worse: All day coverage of that, or the all day coverage of pedophile Michael Jackson that was shoved down my throat.

I heard that in honor of Sen. Byrd's career, the eulogy will last for 14 hours.
-
Huh, how about that, Byrd died.
I'm sure someone somewhere
anywhere
has to give a shit....
maybe.
-
Y'all are forgetting the now obvious question: What will West Virginia name their roads, hospitals, courthouses, and other public buildings now that he's dead?

Where's the Robert C. Byrd KKK Lodge?
-
Y'all are forgetting the now obvious question: What will West Virginia name their roads, hospitals, courthouses, and other public buildings now that he's dead?
My son thought he was already dead from all the stuff that was already named for him....
Byrd was elected to the senate in November 1958, and I was born in December 1958. He's been in the Senate longer than I've been alive. Before cable and satellite TV, one of our local stations was Bluefield, WV channel 6. I've seen his drooling, sagging, shaking face on TV way too long....
But I digress. He's been called home to be with his beloved Erma and to answer for his earthly transgressions. Prayers to him and his family....
-
Sad for his family but good riddance to bad rubbish hope he enjoys his own little spot in hell.
-
Prayer's for his soul and his family.

I'm sure I'm gonna piss some of you off but it has to be said. We bash the dummies for grave dancing yet some people here do the same exact thing. When we do that we are no better than they are. I don't expect people to praise him or anything but you could at least have a little class and not do the grave dancing.
The other thing that bugs me is when people who call themselves Christians celebrate anyone burning in hell. I really believe if you are celebrating the fact that any man is burning in hell you need to do some serious soul searching. This is not the compassion that Jesus taught of. Jesus commanded people to do their best to help people not go to hell for their sins and spread his message. The DUmmies pervert the teachings of Jesus by saying anything goes and a lot of people on the right pervert his message by rejoicing in anyone going to hell. It's pretty sad when an agnostic like myself can understand the teachings of Jesus better than the Dummies and some folks here.
If this post pisses you off then feel free to flame away.

Sorry, Freeper, but I find it hard to generate any sympathy for a guy who never EVER renounced his membership in the Klan, was using the "N" word on television a few short years ago, and generally kept minorities "on the plantation", but conservatives are the ones eating the shit sandwich for it.

You are free to do and say whatever you want I just said my piece. Unlike DU we are allowed to offend each other here.

And you're certainly entitled to your opinion, but that's why I don't get scandalized by their grave dancing and tombstone-pissing, I think it's perfectly understandable. And I'm definitely not somebody who considers himself a paragon of Christian virture, nor do I pretend to be one.

To tag on a little bit to DAT's comment, anybody who gets his nose twisted out of joint because of comments made on the internet just might need to review one basic concept:
It's the internet.

Yet everyone's nose gets twisted out of joint for the same behavior at DU.

I dont pretend to be one either. I know there are times where I am as full of hate as the left is. Neither side has a monopoly on hate though.

Although the moonbats own all the railroads, both utilities, and have hotels on Boardwalk and Park Place.

The railroads are behind schedule, utilities have an expiring license and can't get a new one because of Al Gore and the Hotels are roach infested.

Sorry, but I don't frequent DU. Neither do I frequent boards here on CC that dwell on DU. I'm just not interested in moonbatism to that level, though I recognize that many here on CC are interested - that's great for them (and you if you're part of that group) - but it ain't my cuppa tea.
So my nose doesn't get twisted out of joint for that behavior - maybe I'm an exception to the rule, but there you have it. :cheersmate:
