My only concern: the director has stated in interviews that he wanted to take out some of the more slap-stick elements found in the animated series. I'm sympathetic to his goal but at the same time I hope he preserves the aspect of the story that these are supposed to be children. One of the most dramatic elements of the series is the fact that the avatar, Aang, is not only the last of his entire nation but he is a child who finds himself carrying the weight of the entire world on his shoulders.
Prince Zuko is also a major plot line. His development over the course of the 3 films will be crucial.

I honestly had no notion that this was being based off of an anime series. I was taken back to hear that it was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. It just seems like an odd departure for him.
I'll be honest, I'm far more excited for Predators to come out :cheersmate:
