He has always succeeded inâ€“as he himself points out in the articleâ€“ordering Special Ops guys to kill many targets but then publicly scolding them the next day so as to maintain the fiction that heâ€™s really supporting a less lethal strategy.

If true, that sounds like a direct order and objective of a lib administration. You know you have to kill the bad guys (even though you're probably in sympathy with them) in order to appear active in fighting the enemy, but then you need to make it appear as though you didn't want to kill anyone at all.

Exactly. I have no problem with what he's saying--just with the timing of him saying it (while in uniform).

Same here. No Room for the are commander mouthing off about the CIC to a reporter. Never mind that I think he is allowing that mentality to flow down to his staff. I had nothing good to say about Carter or Clinton while they were CIC and I was on active duty, but they were the civilian authority that was in charge of the military.
