It would be nice if we could all agree that FOX is nothing but a right wing propaganda machine. Whether their stories favor or slam your respective candidate, we should be condemning this on DU. Just my .02

Surely one of the lurking DUmmies can explain (with references) why they believe Fox News is not a legitimate source of information.   Sign up and enlighten us.  Anyone?  Anyone?

I wanna know why FOX, if so unreliable and slanted, is the top news organization in the USA....by double.  Are there really so few liberals?

The DUmmies want reliable news sources such as Truthout, Commondreams, Alternet, scoop.co.nz, afterdowningstreet.  Sources with solid investigative reporters like Jason Leopold, Wayne Madson or Greg Palast.  In other words they want sources that tell them what they want to hear.

I think you nailed it.  I bet if it were a story about discrimination of liberals or some injustice done to gays, FoxNews would be a fine source.   :whatever:

Those statements are coming from folks who MORE than likely think Wikipedia is a legitimate source (not necessarily a news source, but it proves their hypocrisy).  :whatever:

LOL!  Well, what's really funny is that even at the most liberal of colleges, the professors will pretty much fail you in their class if you use Wikipedia as a source for an essay/research paper.

I certainly understand Wikipedia is NOT a source, nor do I accept is a source.  It is a helpful starting spot and frequently has useful links, that CAN be sources.  And it is a valid source for all things pop culture.

Well, when we have access to Galileo, and all the related databases like LexisNexis and such, Wikipedia is pretty much useless anyway.

This is from the site that insisted the Islamabad Times, al-Jaz, and Fisk were all credible sources during the war.  And that's without even going into the whole TruthOutTheWindow fiasco.

Why do people keep citing FOX News?

Because people trust them to report the news more accurately and without DNC spin.

Why is that so hard to understand?

You got it and the DUmmys want that accurate information NOW not in 24 business hours.
