"Jews". Would you mind taking the time to say "Jewish People"?

Anyone beside me feel their hackles go up when a non-Jewish person throws that word around.
"Jew", "Zionist"... I dunno. My radar goes off.
The fact that they cannot separate "Jewish people" from the actions of the State of Israel says a lot about them.
"Juden"... that doesn't sound right to me either.

Noted adulterer and race hustler, Jesse Jackson, prefers the term Hymie.
-
I find it very racist to find fault with the very legitimate word "Jew".
Is "Jew" the new "Negro"?
-
I thought they said "da jooooos"
-
Both words Jew and Jews are prohibited on the MLB Cubs board.

Only if you're standing in front of 0bama.

I wasn't born a Jew. I'm converting to Judaism. When it's complete, I'll be a Jew. I'll be proud to call myself a Jew.
Suck it DUmbasses.

Runnin' Buddy converted when she was in her 30's. I don't think she has a problem with being called a Jew, if so she's never said. She usually says she's "Jewish".
I do think "da jooooos"....is disrespectul. Kind of like calling and Italian a Wop or an Irishman a Mick...

But they are only words and you shouldn't be offended.

I thought they said "da jooooos"
Usually in the form of an exclamation, or in fury, as "DA JOOOOOOSS!" Not unlike their inability to say Halliburton in a normal, adult voice.

Can't Understand New Things?
Sorry...I'll return to my room now and take my meds.

Yet Honkey, Whitey, and Cracker are perfectly acceptable.

I don't use those references towards anyone either.
Maybe it's what you hear growing up. I never heard anyone called that when I was growing up...but maybe it was where I lived (midwest).
I did hear Wop, Mick, and Kike....and if I had ever said any of those in the presence of my parents...I would have been slapped in a heart beat. While I know what the words mean, I just would never call someone any of them.

Interesting that all the words that have been used are to denote race or family origin. Odd that being Jewish people from all over the world, this is one of the few titles that the people themselves use.
Being a follower of the old Testament is not a race, I have heard of Chinese Jews, and how can anyone who saw the movie Cat Balloue forget the American Indian who had been convinced that he was descended from one of the lost Tribes of Israel and trying to learn Hebrew.??
Do I introduce my Hubby as Robert the Mick.?? or Bob the Papist. How about he introduce me as Vesta the Mongrel , or, this is my wife Vesta the Bitch.
I met this brilliant young woman at work that has an interesting accent. When I asked where she was from she told me she was a Russian Jew. WOW, I knew she had an interesting life. She was taken aback when I asked her how the Hell she got out and told me I was the first non Jew to ask her that.
We live in a country that gives little notice of the faith of others until now with the Muslims trying to take over all other beliefs.
Yes, I am confused about the times we live in, and even more confused about the motives of the past.

191. I always want to scream whenever I hear
"THE terrorists"
Like they have qualities specific only to "terrorists" (brown skin, "funny" names).
Like our own damned government hasn't committed acts of terror against us...
:mental: I thought she was one of the more level-headed ones.
It's a hugeass thread. Too much to wade through and lots of PC wordsmithing.

OK, so I'm guessing "Yids" is completely off the table, right?
.... I have heard of Chinese Jews,...
There's a Jewish man and a Chinese man both sitting in a restaurant. Out of nowhere, the Jewish man knocks the Chinese man off his seat. The Chinese man shouts, "What that for?" The Jewish man replies, "Pearl Harbor." The Chinese man looks confused and says, "I'm Chinese, NOT Japanese!" The Jewish man replies, "Chinese, Japanese all the same to me." About an hour passes when the Chinese man leaves his seat and knocks the Jewish man off his chair. The Jewish man asks, "Was that for hitting you?" "No," he says, "It's for the Titanic disaster." The Jewish man says "Titanic??" The Chinese man replies, "Iceberg, Goldberg, all the same to me!!"

Ok so now "jew" is a racial slur? :whatever: Jews call themselves "jews" :whatever:

one of my best buds is an NYC Jew...
I call him after Christian Holidays and say things like "did you have a happy Easter?" :rotf:
He pretends it pisses him off... we just laugh.

All the while trying to convince themselves "we" are the racists.
