The search for THE best peanut butter cookie is over.
And, of course, I found it over at Smitten Kitchen.
http://smittenkitchen.com/2007/12/peanut-butter-cookies /
I use a tad more salt (kosher), didn't flatten them or use chocolate chips, just peanut butter chips. And rolled them in the larger granules of organic sugar crystals.
They are totally awesome.
Edited to add pic:
after which a photograph of some cookies on a sheet

2. HI, B.!
They really are very good. We ate six of them straight out of the oven. LOL
Just been puttering around the house. Cleaning and cooking and resting a lot.
In the middle of making two double batches of pop tarts for Bill to take to work for their Wednesday meeting.
Well, it's good to see that Mrs. Alfred Packer got over her spat with whichever primitive it was, who discouraged her from posting in the cooking and baking forum for a while.
-
Isn't it Alferd E Packer? I grew up in Boulder, CO and I seem to remember his name wasn't Alfred.
-
Coach! Nice to see you back! :hi5: :cheersmate:
-
Why was Mrs Alfred Packer discouraged from posting in the cooking and baking forum?
-
Frank is back! great!
-
Welcome home, Frank!
:hi5:

Posted and ran away again.
Obviously some troll.
BAN HIM!

Welcome back Frank. You were sorely missed.
-
Organic sugar crystals? Is there a problem with regular sugar? :rotf:
Welcome back, franksolich.
-
frank! I was so worried about you! What would I do without you? I don't want to find out!
Cindie

Coach!! Good to see you back, I hope all is well.
OK so now how about GOBUCKS? He seems to have disappeared since the DUer came along.
-
He got his panties in a wad because we wouldn't ban her the minute she showed up. I assume he's back at FreeRepublic.

Well, good to see ya, franksolich. It might have been my mole she was mad at. I think she is crabby IRL. Who could blame her?
Let's hear another story line about the Packers, eh? You are quite the storyteller around these parts.
:evillaugh:

Yeah, I read the thread, strange really. His posts are hilarious though and the site is missing something without him.
-
Frank, it was so good to see your name again in the post list. Yeah, I miss GOBUCKS, too. He always made me laugh.

Screw that! The only time you gt to kick a troll is on the Viking Kitty threads. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Viking Kitty and fun can be had, but at least here we get to kick 'em the nutz before they disappear!
-
did we ban World Communist yet??

Thank You!!!

Serious question:
Would we rather have Soleil and World Communist as members than GOBUCKS??
Just asking. I think GOBUCKS had me on ignore anyways

Yeah, there's 2 that have me on ignore. Amazing, ain't it? I really can't imagine anyone not enjoying my crass humor! heh!
ETA:
Hey FuGL, **** 'em if they can't take a joke! heh, that oughta get me 2 more!
Well......I gotta go out and see if the calf I gave a massive dose of 'cillan yesterday afternoon made it thru the night!
Kinda makes this petty bullshirt pretty innocuous!

Is the calf okay? I hate it when animals get sick; for me and you too, I suspect it's like a kid getting ill. :bawl:

He didn't make it, damn! Now I have to figure out why. All I need is for somethin' to run thru the herd!
I kept him isolated, but I'm really not sure how long he's been sick! ****!!!!

Hard to say. I've got a vet coming out to take a look. Unfortunately she was gone for 2 days to her daughters graduation. Hope she can make heads or tails out of it.

If it is insect-borne, you might have a heluva lot more dead cattle on your hands soon. :o I wouldn't wish that on anyone. (Well, maybe DUmb****s.)
-
frank: You have been missed!!!!!!!!
Allosaurus: Damn, I am sorry.
GOBUCKS: WTF?
Oh....uh, the cookies look OK.

I'm leaning more to him swallowing bailing twine. I have no idea why they do it, but some calves just find it irresistible. Problem is it can get in their lungs and the party's over. We try like hell to make sure none of the stuff is left lying around but it's impossible to get it all.

You're the guy on the scene, with the experience. I defer to you.

We really don't have a problem with insect carried disease around here, it's too damn cold in the winter for them to get a foothold. There are a few cases of west nile virus, but it only affects the horses. Cattle seem to be immune.
Rocky Mountain Tick Fever made an appearance a few years ago, but we inoculate for that now. Ticks are few and far between around my neck of the woods. The only time I have seen any is during huntin' season on the deer and elk.

Email me, AR. Have I got a tick for you! (Well, pics of a tick, anyway.)

My Mother in Law got bit a couple of months ago by a tick and she still isn't 100%, you should've seen what the area looked like a couple days after the bite, yuck.
-
We have ticks.....I HATE them!
Sorry about your calf Allo....hope and prayers the rest stay ok.

I was born in Kansas. Every time I go back I have to pull 'em off the dogs daily! I hate the little blood suckers! The ones around here are tiny, about the size of a pencil eraser, compared to the monsters in the midwest! I've seen 'em the size of my thumb!
All the rest of my calves look good. Pretty sure it was isolated to the one calf. He's only the second one I've lost in 12 years, so our batting average is pretty good. Shit happens, what can I say.
