Title: Oregon Coffee Shop doesn't want cops

What are their DU names??

.....

The Red & Black Cafe is no place for a man in blue.

Police Officer James Crooker was asked to leave the vegan coffee shop in Portland, Ore., last month, a discriminatory move but not altogether uncommon at the java joint, a detective told FoxNews.com.

Crooker, 36, a 2-year veteran of the force, entered the Red & Black Café on May 18 and bought a cup of coffee before a customer approached him and said she appreciated his efforts.

That's when John Langley, one of the co-owners of the collectively managed shop, approached the cop and asked him to leave.

Crooker left immediately. It was the first time something like this has happened to him in his nine-year law enforcement career, he told The Oregonian newspaper.

Their website is;

http://redandblackcafe.com/

Neither Crooker nor Langley could be reached for comment on Friday. An employee who answered the phone at the Red and Black café declined to discuss the incident.

“I’ve been taking calls about this all day and I’m kind of tired of talking about it,” the employee said. “I have a regular job.”

The phone number is (503)231-3899

Just a guess, but if the place gets vandalized , I don't see the cops working very hard to find the people that did it.

Typical Communist POS....they're About Us section proves they are unequivocal hypocrites "We strive to provide a community space that is safe and welcoming to all. We hope this space is used for local voices to bring awareness and education on the issues facing us today. We work to be an example of ethical, non-hierarchal business."

Sounds to me like you did not provide a welcoming space to this cop. Furthermore, I believe the person that thanked the cop, was using the space "to bring awareness and education on the issues" of crime prevention and human decency....which makes sense why you would balk at such a thing occurring in your shop.

Personally, I am going to have fun spamming calls to their business all day for the next week.

This has to be a brilliant  but stupid publicity stunt to advertise the business.

No one in their right mind pisses off the Police, Fire Department or local Ambulance service.  May as well place a sign in the window,   " Come rob us and our customers, no cops allowed."

Hey, Leroy, listen to this....“I feel my role as a proprietor is to make people feel safe,” Langley said. “To make it comfortable for people who feel police make them unsafe. To protect it for people who use the space.”...I think we just found our next mark for an armed robbery...these DUmmies got money and no guns.
