Title: Google?
Post by: The Village Idiot on May 30, 2010, 05:04:38 PM
Google sports special logo's for all kinds of occasions, but not for Memorial Day? Why is that? It's like they hate America as much as Obama does. Like making that $$ though.

The google founders are a couple of leftist liberals.

That should be your 1st clue.

From several years ago.
Quote
On Monday, May 28, 2007, Google once again failed to create a special logo to mark Memorial Day -- exactly as they fail to do every year, despite the fact that they mark dozens of lesser or contrived "holidays" with special logos.

Google's so-called excuse for this behavior is laughable:
If we were to commemorate this holiday, we'd want to express reverence; however, as Google's special logos tend to be lighthearted in nature, this would be a particularly challenging design. We wouldn't want to create a graphic that could be interpreted as disrespectful in any way.

They had a contest for appropriate google logos.

This simple one I like. More at the link.

I was using google desktop for awhile, but turned it off after they quote more news from HuffPo then anywhere else.

Google is a Leftism front organization dedicated to the downfall of the United States of America.  That's as plain and simple as it gets.  Why this organization chooses to destroy the very nation that made it what it is today is a question left for all normal Americans to ponder.

I stopped using google (on purpose) a long time ago.  Google is so huge though, it can be hard to avoid.

They did something different this year. They still didn't change their logo, but they did put this below the search block.

I guess their logo is too sacrosanct to defile with that. *blech*

Hasn't Google also decorated for "Pirate Day" and other bullshit "holidays" such as that one?

I try to avoid Google as much as possible.  I use Swagbucks as my search engine.  lol

They'll celebrate ANZAC Day and Veteran's Day, but not Memorial Day. :bird:

It's a site that you can earn "Swagbucks" while searching or buying through their site.  I only search and do the daily polls.  You can then redeem your fake money for gift cards, movies, video games, etc.  You can also enter you bucks into drawings for other cool things like PS3's, jewelry, more Swagbucks, gift cards, etc.

I don't like bing - the results are usually pretty far from what I'm looking for.
