I have no idea why but I just found this amusing, the symbol of the Democratic Party and they're admitting it. :lmao:

I definitely prefer the elephant as a symbol over the donkey. Both are cute, but elephants are so freakin' smart. Not saying republicans are so freakin' smart, but if I got to pick one as my party symbol, I'd definitely go with the elephant.

At some point 0Bama has to be responsible and stop blaming President Bush.Big difference. We bitch about Dimrats that are in charge and ruining this country.  The DUmmies are obsessed with Sarah Palin, Dick Cheney and George Bush. None of them are in power and have no effect on the current government.

I don't think I'm so much obsessed with the DU, I'm more amazed that people have the beliefs they express there, it's just so different from mine, and I think I could understand if what they want done has shown good results, but it hasn't, especially in reference to Government benefits, it just makes people more enabled to the Government instead of being free, and people vote in their own best interests.

I'll agree, how you managed to do that in PAINT is pretty amazing!  My skills in that area are sorely lacking.  I wish I had talent...............  :thatsright:

How did you learn how to do it in PAINT?  That program seems so basic.  I wish I were proficient in some kind of software to play with pics, but don't care to spend lots of money on it.

I have Adobe and Nero and Paint and am not very good in any of them.

Did you have any class training, or are you self-taught?

Thanks for that info! It's frustrating not to be able to do moving images in paint. I tried Ifranview and it's confusing as heck, and no way would I spend the money for Photoshop.

I saved them in jpg format, it "smudges" a bit when thats done. I wonder if that site would have accepted bitmaps though?

You totally left out Cheney and Limbaugh.

indeed - and Coulter, Hannity, Beck, Malkin, Fox News...

The one thing all of these figures have in common, (other than conservative leanings in various degrees) is none of them matter. None of these people make laws, raise or lower taxes, start wars, or direct policy.

They just express opinions.

Granted, we do make fun of the left's commentators - Olbermann, Maddow, Moore, etc etc, but one isn't going to find endless threads about how these commentators are war criminals, should have their assets frozen, and get 'frog-marched to the Hague'

All politicians have term limits - they are usually referred to as 'elections'.
All political commentators do as well - those limits are called 'ratings'.

The short of it is, if you don't get the numbers, you lose your job. Instead of trying to take away opportunity for the people they disagree with, they should work on finding effective people to express their views. Unfortunately (for them), their biggest people are really quite unlikeable. Id say their most likable was Stewart - but he is a Comedian - and now that Bush is no longer in office, he has run out of material that the left likes. Remember when there were dozens of Daily Show threads a day at DU ? Now, not so much...

Do you have Microsoft Office? I have the Teacher/Student version, as it was half the price and had all I needed on it. Their picture manager is really easy....if I can make it work...it must be easy!! My work requires a lot of picture taking and uploading of photos that must be very clear...and MO has made it easy for me. There are lots of features that I don't use on it, but it walks you through pretty much whatever you need to do.

Nope, I don't have MS Office anymore, but it sounds like a good program.  I use Open Office now - never though to see if they have anything like that.  Thanks for the idea.

Depends on which version you have.

M's computer(which was originally mine) is an HP, and came with WindowsXP, but only a 60 day "trial". Mine's a Compaq and came with WindowsXP and also the 60 day trial. The trial version doesn't have Picture Manager. I got it when I added the Student/Teacher version of Microsoft Office. I got it several years ago, and it was about $140 at Sam's. The regular Microsoft Office was more than double. Mine has "Power Point Viewer" so I can read power point stuff, but I can't do any power point and I think that's the main difference...but I'm not sure. I just know I can do whatever I need to on it.  :-)
