Obama Threatens 14 US Governors With Immediate Arrest
Posted by Europe
A chilling report from the Foreign Military Intelligence Directorate (GRU) prepared for Prime Minister Putin warns today that United States President Barack Obama has had served on 14 US Governors National Security Letters (NSLs) warning that if their actions in attempting to form what are called State Defense Forces are not halted they will face "immediate" arrest for the crime of treason.
The use of NSLs in the United States was authorized by the Patriot Act law enacted after the September 11, 2001 attacks and forbids anyone receiving them from even acknowledging their existence, and was reauthorized by Obama's "rubberstamp" Congress this past February over the objections of both civil and human rights groups who warned they mimic similar type "government security notices" enacted under both the former German Nazi and Soviet Communist regimes.
To the issue angering Obama against these State Governors, this report continues, is their attempt to reestablish what are called State Defense Forces which are described as follows:
"State Defense Forces (SDF) (also known as State Guards, State Military Reserves, or State Militias) in the United States are military units that operate under the sole authority of a state government; they are not

It isn't the real congressional website.
Even the article is highly in doubt as:
A) it is unsourced
B) has pretty piss-poor writing
Case in point:
Note: Following the end of the Civil War the rights of the individual US States to succeed
That's "secede"
from the Union was heard by their Supreme Court in a case called Texas v. White (1869) and who ruled that the Constitution did not permit States to secede
Now he/she/it gets it right
from the United States, and that the ordinances of secession, and all the acts of the legislatures within seceding States intended to give effect to such ordinances, were "absolutely null". However, the decision did allow some possibility of divisibility "through revolution, or through consent of the States."
Obama, in fearing a revolution against him by the States, this report continues, has moved swiftly against them, including nationalizing nearly all National Guard Forces in Governor Pawlenty's Minnesota in what is being described as their State's largest call up of troops since World War II.
Immaterial. Any president can call-up NG troops.
Other reports coming from the United States are stating that Obama has also nationalized the National Guard forces in Georgia, Alabama, Kansas, and perhaps Texas too
"and perhaps"???
Really?
BTW - the author forgot Florida and Colorado amongst others. But guess what? Bush "nationalized" NG troops as well. They have been a staple in the GWoT. Hell, we even have a CO contingent going to Slovenia to train up for 3 mos. before they go with the Slovenians to A-stan (I so-o-o wanted that mission).
That website would do well to get some Xanax and a brown paper bag.

What is it with the plethora of kooky stories appearing that begin with something along the lines of "A chilling report from %russian_government_entity% blah blah blah" ?
There's one around somewhere about a Nork submarine being responsible for sinking the Deepwater Horizon rig.
Seriously. :mental:
They sound like stuff you'd find on prisonplanet or ATS.

10, 15 years ago, they'd have been headlines in the Weekly World News...

Texas has had a "State Guard" for a while. I may still join. (They were accepting gimps when I last spoke with them)

Last year the 1SG of a TX State Guard unit asked me if I wanted to join his unit. I was leaving Grand Prairie back to CO.
He was the security guard at the Greyhound bus depot.
My father got out of the army as an E-8 and went into the NY state guard as a captain.
Methinks they're little more than excuses to get away from the women folk and drink beer.

Thank you for pointing these out... Mr. Snuggle Bunny!

I think most of these 'reports' are getting released to incite Tea Party violence. As long as the Tea Party continues to be nonviolent and sensible, it will continue to be effective. Once it goes wrong, it will lose a large amount of credibility.
And thats what the Democrats want.

I've heard about the NY State Guard. All unpaid.
