Hi y'all,
I'm a newbie so this will be brief. I would just like to raise your awareness to ovarian cancer. My daughter-in-law is fighting ovarian cancer as I speak. She was diagnosed in December 2009 and has just completed her chemo treatments earlier this month. However, as she told me just yesterday, it'll be months before they will really know if it's in remission. She's been a real trouper. Her daughter calls her a warrior. Her doctor told her that she made it through all of her treatments that MOST people can't.
Anyway, I really got mad a couple of weeks ago because the focus is mostly on breast cancer to the exclusion of other types of cancer. No, I don't begrudge them attention, I just want other types of cancer to get their's as well.
Ovarian cancer color is teal. Their motto is "Break the Silence" I've contacted an organization about getting involved. It's National Ovarian Cancer Coalition or website www.ovarian.org
Just want y'all to be aware and do what you can when you can to alert other people.
Thank you.

Ovarian cancer is one of the scariest types, because the diagnosis is often late due to the vagueness of its symptoms. My sister's husband's first wife died of this cancer as did one of my cousins.
Best of health to your dear daughter-in-law. She sounds like a fighter. :cheersmate:
