Former White House speechwriter John L. Perry has courted controversy by suggesting that the U.S. Military, upholding their oath to defend the Constitution against domestic enemies, could stage a bloodless coup to oust President Obama.
In an article originally posted on the Newsmax website, Perry wrote, “There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America’s military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the “Obama problem.†Don’t dismiss it as unrealistic.â€
Despite the fact that Perry was not explicitly advocating such a coup, Newsmax later removed the article to ensure it “was not misinterpretedâ€.
The article outlines how military officers, outraged at Obama’s “trampling†on the Constitution, nationalization of American institutions, rising deficits, unemployment and taxes, could peaceably seize power from the “radical-left commissars†of the Obama administration.
“Military intervention is what Obama’s exponentially accelerating agenda for “fundamental change†toward a Marxist state is inviting upon America. A coup is not an ideal option, but Obama’s radical ideal is not acceptable or reversible,†writes Perry.
It is important to stress that Perry is not a Neo-Con, he worked under the Democratic administrations of Lyndon Johnson and Jim

Writing books and movies about assassinating GW Bush was just fine though.

Hell how many times did DU openly call for the soldiers to revolt?
That's right on a daily basis.

I'll give you a hint of who had that banner it wasn't the tea party.

I long for the day Alex Jones is shown to be in a gay tryst with Lyndon laRouche.

I googled his name to find the article, as I am curious what the hell he actually wrote. This came up:

Note the date on this is 10/09. It's May, 2010. Really?

Ridiculous. If becoming 'more likely' means it gained some exponentially small fragment of a percent in probability maybe, but the net probability would still be down in the triple-Powerball-winner odds territory.
Congress, not the President, passes the laws, so why would the President himself be held accountable in that drastic a way in the first place? The day of reckoning will come in due course in the manner made and provided by the Constitution, in November 2012. He's done nothing that would even have a remote chance of bringing this incredibly-irresponsible idea into play.

Thanks, DAT. The story, hell, the very concept of a coup in America even with what is going on now, is proof positive that not all batshit crazy nutjobs are confined to the left.
