BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- A Jefferson County geometry teacher was investigated by the Secret Service after he used a hypothetical assassination of President Obama as a way to teach angles.
School officials say the Corner High School teacher apparently was teaching his students about parallel lines and angles and used the example of where to stand and aim to shoot the president.
Authorities were alerted, and Roy Sexton, special agent in charge of Birmingham's Secret Service office, says his agency spoke with the teacher, did not find a credible threat and

Uh no. I am of the mindset that a teacher anywhere can find a better way to teach geometry than to insinuate any presidential assassination. Ever. That is just a case of very bad judgement.

A lot of people would probably have thought so. In fact, I believe there was a movie done about that very thing. Can't remember the name of it at the moment, but I'm pretty certain there is.
This was inappropriate, yes. However, if this had been a leftist talking about Bush, it probably wouldn't have gotten even a first glance. Double standard much?

Oh I agree with you wholeheartedly on that. But, it still ain't right.

Teacher should have used a Muslim terrorist as his target...then all hell would have broken loose.
There are 2 types of people that want to shoot Obama....
1-Those that want to do it and get away with it.
2-Those that want to do it and be known as the one that did it.
The first group is probably the largest but they would never discuss their plans with anyone and are the least likely to try it. The SS has the least to worry about from them. They are at least sane enough to realize that the odds are against you getting away with it. The second group....well those are the ones most likely to try and are the ones I'd worry about the most if I were an SS agent.
Some Berkley college tenured professor will probably soon write a book or start a course entitled, "Political Assinations and there use in Forming the American Utopia."

Already happening, Freeper. Unfortunately, I listen to hard left radio just to keep track of what the crazies are saying. Malloy, Rhodes, Miller, etc. (Miller should be a DUmmy if she's not already.) They're already on this story like rhetoric on a liberal.
