All ya'll down there, God speed...

Thanks Lauri!  We're about 20 miles east, but we are getting spanked pretty bad.  My wife just read off a list of street closings.   I called in sick today and yesterday, glad I'm not out there.

I'm glad it cooled off.  I was tired of sweating.

Just rain and a few claps of thunder.  Nothing wild.

Has anyone heard from BEG?

She lives in a fancy neighborhood.  When it storms, the entire area is raised above the clouds on special hydraulic lifts.

Smart ass!

Thanks for thinking of me ACC.  I'm fine.  I haven't been online too much over the past two weeks.  First it was my son home on his spring, he took over my computer so I couldn't get on.  Now it's my other two kids spring break and my oldest daughter has over taken my computer as hers has something wrong with it.  Next week should be back to normal.

My back yard looks like a swamp.

Delta Dawn what's that flower you have on?
could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
and did i hear you say he was a meeting you here today
to take you to his mansion in the sky-eye

she's 41 and her daddy still calls her baby
all the folks 'round brownsville say she's crazy
cause she walks downtown with her suitcase in her hand
lookin for a mysterious dark haired man

in her younger days they called her delta dawn
prettiest woman you ever laid eyes on
when a man of low degree stood by her side
promised her he'd take her for his bride

Delta Dawn what's that flower you have on?
could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
and did i hear you say he was a meeting you here today
to take you to his mansion in the sky -eye

delta dawn what's that flower you have on
could it be a faded rose from days gone by
and did i hear you say he was meeting you here today
to take you to his mansion in the sky eye

Bertha Bone what's that perfume you got on?
Could it be an aerosol sprayed on your bump?
And did I hear say you'd be picking up trash today?
'Fore they evict you from your tract home in the dum-ump?

ok, well shepard smith was doing his usual freak out about the rain and how DFW was closed and the ripple effect across the US... so it has passed now?

I grew up in Richardson, and well remember the rain that turned to hail. I stopped untold times under overpasses waiting for it to stop..

or the flash flooding in Carollton..

the tornadoes were the best though.. thumbs up to mother nature  :cheersmate:

There are storms all over central north Texas.  I'm sure Dallas is a wet mess.  I am farther east.  It ain't so bad at my house.

if the airport is closed, that is definitely a huge deal. i still wish shepard smith would curtail his freakouts til its God coming on a winged horse or something.

DFW can screw up air traffic around the world, so I'm sure it is a big deal to the 80.000 people in the air, but this too shall pass.

If they had been smart they would have put DFW east of Dallas instead of pretending Ft. Worth is important too.  It is always the case that the further east you go, the better the weather.
