Legalize *all* drugs now
**** it. Why not? Can it cause anymore harm than the private oil industry does on a daily basis? Meth, crack, pot, opium....is it really worth the drug war? Is the toll all that much greater than the oil industry, which we have accepted as a way of life?
We have war, environmental destruction, a ruined economy, and people want to be high and mighty about drugs? Its becoming absurd. Beyond absurd.
Legal drugs would be Mickey Mouse problems compared to everything else we deal with. Its making them illegal that amplifies their impact by bolstering the black market.
In other words just let me be taken care of while I stone out of society. :bird:

1. Have you ever dealt with a meth addict or oxy addict?
You might think differently about that "all" drugs point of view
Give up,you are talking to a stoner

4. So what? Mickey Mouse shit
Last I checked we have two hundred thousand barrels of oil leaking into the Gulf of Mexico, which will impact the environment, tourism industry and fishing. And thats all from legal activity.
We all have enough problems to worry about. If they put half the money they spent into the drug war into rehabilitation, education, and regulation of the drug industry, you'd probably have far less harm.
Harm reduction is inherently contradictory to drug war policy, and it cannot sufficiently happen until people change their entire thinking on this issue.
See what I mean.

89. Ever reach a breaking point where you realize the magnitude of *REAL* problems simply outweighs...
trivial bullshit like the war on drugs? Thats why I'm mixing absurd ideas together.
There are real problems that people accept as necessary, yet they are gung ho about war against substances that are minuscule in comparison.
Seriously...my grandchildren may not have a world conducive to giving them grandchildren. Hyperbole aside, this globe is in a whole lot of trouble in the next 100 years. Why do I give two ****s about locking crackheads up then?
Give me weed with my pony!

17. and said meth addict chose to addict themselves to meth
Edited on Sat May-08-10 06:13 PM by reggie the dog
it is their own fault and stupidity as well as their own lack of self control. I cannot drink alcohol responsibly, so I chose to quit doing alcohol when I was 21. If someone sees their meth use going from fun party use, to every day addiction use, they just need to take some personal responsibility and STOP USING METH!
Have not read ahead but know that won`t go over well.

53. Obviously you have never been addicted to anything
especially not meth.
Your advice is laughably useless. It also underscores a fundamental lack of understanding about addiction. You could stop drinking at 21 because you were not addicted or not strongly addicted.
Told ya.
On and on about how they should be able to smoke up and drop out.
Useless ****ing parasites.

personal responsibility??
Did the DUmmie just say personal responsibility?
Does the use of those words automatically alert the mods?

It will damn sure get their attention....

Like I said before, its stupid to whine about this little oil spill as opposed to the larger amount of oil and other chemicals sent to the bottom of both oceans during the first and second world wars and yet they have never caused the apocalypse that DUmmies are always screaming about whenever a ship or oil well leaks.

Yet they listen and get upset when when Al Gore spews another mouthful of his toxic crud.

My brother died of a methadone overdose, go ahead and follow in his footsteps Oregone.

That is terrible. I am sorry. Meth should never ever be legal.
My brother died from drunk driving (his own, and thankfully he took no one with him).

When you think they cant be any stupider...
Nonsense.
I maintain that there is no bottom to the well of human stupidity.

Looks like someone missed his probation appointment. :-)

the primitives like personal responsibility only when it benefits them - it seems that drugs without consequences are approved by this idiot.

I'm sorry too soleil. How old was your brother when he died? My brother was 43. He died july 23, 2008. It was the absolute worst day of my life.
-
By the way soleil, it was methadone not meth. Doctors use methadone to get you off other drugs or for pain. My brother's wife was taking it to get her off oxycotin that she was taking for pain. She gave it to him.
-
Was your brother taking methadone at the time? That's crazy.

Nonsense.

Gotta agree with this Albert.

So it would seem.

This is a really good example of the symptoms of their general mental disorder--the way they yoke together two completely unrelated subjects. Another example of the same symptom set is how they automatically call conservatives hypocrites because we oppose general increases in federal spending (especially those not enumerated as Constitutional requirement) but not increases in defense spending---as if, to them, 1) spending in one area must instantly justify spending in all areas, and 2) defense spending wasn't a truly special case, an area of spending necesary to our survival as a nationality/country, a characteristic which no other area of spending can claim to possess. In this case, they've joined together an oil spill and total drug legalization/decriminalization. I'd be hard put to imagine two spheres of human activity less connected. It's as if their now instinctive rejection of all of normality has become one, giant, mishmash of indistinguishable components.

He was 24. I was 18. August 11, 1996. The worst day of my life too. I didn't know which hurt worse, losing my brother or seeing what it did to my parents.
It is devastating to see something take hold over someone and watch them lose control. I really am sorry.
