I am over the moon!
These two are being published.
Be happy with me!
End of Day
Thin lavender clouds cover the graying sky
someone spread
them with a butter knife
and then forgot
the sunlight fades
all is obscure
to my dim
vision
too soon the sun is gone
I wanted it to stay
it moves away
it takes the light
from me
it leaves me in
darkness
where did you
go
The Wind
ruffled my hair
touched my face
the sun
warmed
me
your smile
brilliant
a tear
slid
from
my
eye

My dear CCers, the comments that followed are the same as all the other poetry threads, you know how it goes.
This chick showed up, so we know she hasn't been blown to smithereens or butchered for dinner:

I am over the Moon!
Some comedy just writes itself.

Somebody oughta moon her . . . sheesh, what a load of puke! :puke:

Published where? Rolls of toilet paper don't count.
-
Isn't it pitiful?
BTW these are getting published somewhere out of this country and she will not be getting paid for them. She left that part out. rofl.
I think people are so fooled by her that they comment on her stuff to make her feel better. At least that is what I hope because her poetry sucks.

Whoa whoa whoa
where is the obligatory TLB critique?
-
Are they being published in a different language in a different country?

Just cut your next lovemaking session in half.

I thought it was called Angel Soft because her poetry needs to be flushed

That would be a waste of good toilet paper.

My wife dabbles in Poetry. There are websites you can post it to and get feedback from other Poets. She appreciates the input.
Every so often one of hers get "selected" to be "published" by some Dead Poets society or other. Of course you have to be a member for X amount of dollars. Surprisingly that membership allows you to buy the book with your poem in it for even more money.

Just use her poetry then.

It is crap for sure. She thinks she is so sophisticated. :rotf:

I had one published about 20 or so years ago. It had "night" in it too, but it just doesn't have the...rhythm (?)... that Peg's has.
Here it is...
The Seventh Night
Evening's lights were never alone.
Unnoticed never were moonbeams gone.
Melodies of fantasia in hearts at play
desiring the morn to stay away.
November chills gripping the air.
On the seventh night coming to care.
Orion watching from black velvet above
over the lonely learning to love.
The darkness so deep and yet so bright
too soon gave way to morning light.
The feelings for one now gone away.
For the other forever will they stay.
May the love found under lunar light
return to life once more some night.

Very good. I've had lyrics published. I can't post those. They're traceable.

Very good! Do I detect some influence of William Blake? (That's a good thing.)
Meanwhile, and I'm not going to sugar coat it, the DUpe's poem (CaliforniaPeggy's) made me yawn. I see these on the subway all the time. Boring and they don't show much work having gone into them, to me; it's barely a poem, just a few words stitched together. Too many modern poets seem to think unending sadness/darkness = good. Newsflash for that lot: AE Poe could pull that kind of thing off; you guys ain't EA Poe.
I'm not writing this because she's a lib and you're not. Those are my honest impressions of both poems.

Some freak rag. They print every submission. I had the link somewhere.

They liked running contests and needed submissions. It's a joke.

No. It was "Grandma Got Run Over By A Spaceship". Missed having a hit by THIS much.
-
I figured it was "I'm Too Sexy" - the lyrics to be later sold to Right Said Fred.

There are a lot of publications which work like the "Who's Who" guides- especially in the publishing world.. You buy it, you're in it.

Yes, and now you can also self publish stuff at Amazon. Everyone can be published if you pay for it, :-)
