China is one of the most polluted countries in the world. The USSR had major pollution problems too.

2. Hmmm... Does this mean non-capitalistic nations do not cause eco-damage?
Let's say the US and other major world players were non-capitalistic societies, would that mean incidents like this wouldn't happen? Don't you think the problems are humans in general?

18. We need oil to power things but oil = stupidity.
By now we should be relying mostly on wind, solar, hydroelectric, biofuel, etc. to power most of society. Hydrogen cars should also be widely available.

These people have no understanding about how things really work. They do not understand that solar and wind energy is inefficient as hell and constant intermitten boosts and valleys of power generation will literally cause brownouts and burn out wires.
Some of those technologies cost ten or twenty times more than electricity from coal or gasoline for vehicles.
Eastern Europe has abandoned cities and toxic dumps are everywhere, remnants of communism.
Not that I expect DUmmies to know anything at all about .... anything.
Correct. And in the case of electric and hybrid cars, batteries are heavy, made of hazardous materials (metal hydrides) and are expensive to replace.
The DUmmies are simple things. Incapable of rationality and logic.
DUmmies don't know reality from a hole in the ground.

In addition to Chernobyl, the USSR was the owner of the other greatest nuclear disaster in human history, involving what is generally believed to be a mineshaft full of nuclear waste being ejected by a massive steam explosion underneath it. Apparently Soviet science more or less failed to realize their dump was rich enough in fissionables to become a de facto pile itself, or to think through what would happen with the accumulated ground water in the mine under an unmoderated atomic pile.
Yeah, that was the area that just seemed to disappear off Russian maps.
I guess you can say, "It was wiped off the map."

These little bastards sit in their basements typing away on mass produced computers, eating corporation produced Hot Pockets and sucking down some corporation's beverages. They sit in such comfort, not straining a finger, much less break their backs just trying to survive as they do in non-western nations. Yet because they aren't able to snap their fingers and have every whim catered to, they decide that it must be capitalism in the way of their complete comfort.
The little bottom feeders are insatiable. It's never enough, and they don't see a problem giving government the power to take away from everyone else, so that if they aren't necessarily the recipient of those seizures, at least everyone else will be as miserable as they are.
Same here, never heard of that.

Karabolka, near Chelyabinsk, a major center of the Soviet weapons program.
Sorry for the somewhat moonbatty source, however it is a web repub of a real newspaper article, and you can find plenty more by just Googling 'Soviet Nuclear Disasters,' though of course you'll get more hits for Chernobyl than anything else doing that.
Children from fourth grade up were pressed into service. Many "young liquidators," as they came to be known, died of radiation-related diseases soon after the blast, which few people know about even today.

I never heard of this disaster. Thanks for the link.
And the leftards call American soldiers and the past administration 'child killers.'
