A whole lot of people deserve a whole lot of thanks today. Updated at 8:33 AM
Here in Boston, we've been boiling our water since Saturday after a massive aqueduct erupted and killed the water supply for 2,000,000 people. They were talking about it being weeks before it got fixed, but the (union) workers busted their asses around the clock and fixed the pipe break in 72 hours. During the crisis, Teamsters and National Guard soldiers handed out free water to all comers. This morning, the governor lifted the boil-water order, and as we speak, I am flushing out my pipes.
Thank you.
In New York, an alert t-shirt vendor sounded the alarm, and a whole lot of kick-ass police and federal investigation work led to the arrest of the little shit who tried to blow up Times Square.
Thank you.
In the Gulf, people are laboring mightily to contain the BP oil spill. They are engaged in a losing effort at this point, as the oil is overwhelming all efforts, but they're trying, and it is a disgusting job to have to do.
Thank you.
This is what I'm going to hold onto today. Things are all ****ed up, but that doesn't mean there aren't excellent, heroic people busting their asses to try and make it better.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
:whatever: How the mighty have fallen.

Boston hasn't banned bottled water??
They were passing it out??
Bad progressives! Bad.
Its nice to see the "Union" workers finally fixing the problem that good maintainence might have prevented. heh.
-
Willy was doing his part in conserving water by consuming only bottled beverages, mainly from Tennessee and Scotland.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I thought that the world was going to be daisies and unicorns after Obama came to power.

He's giving thanks to the union workers, but it was those union workers that built a pipeline that failed after only 7 years.

Given the track record of other projects in MA, that's pretty good. I remember tiles falling off the tunnels in the Big Dig and crushing cars before the project was even finished.

When it absolutely has to be fixxed overnight....you hire Mexicans.

You beat me to it. An estimated $2.8 billion project that ballooned to over 10 times that.

And I would especially like to thank a few men with who's help this long and rambling post would have been possible. Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Johnny Walker and Jose Cuervo. Thank you again.

This is the first Pittshitting that I've been able to read beginning to end in one try. Usually they take several tries over several days. He's lost his touch, poor Willy.
-
Attention-whore Pitt, trying to wedge his way into anything currently in the news.
:loser:

Ya can't boil ice cubes and retain them. Tap water back to good = icecube trays back in production. Scotch on the rocks now flowing endlessly. The Bostonian Drunkard is smashed and happy again.
-
And I'd like to thank Will Pitt for bringing "24 business hours" into the Conservative Cave lexicon!
