Dear Mr. Obama and U.S. Congress: Please hire hundreds of thousands of
unemployed and pay all their expenses to have them fight the Oil Spill. Please pay for the effort by penalizing BP and Halliburton out of existence. Thanks.
I think about fifteen dollars an hour would be sufficient plus supply room and board, etc.
(Could it work?)

1. I'm all for it.
Ok so if we did this unemployment would go down a bit just in time for the elections. After the oil is cleaned up and both BP and Halliburton are dismantled then UE would shoot way up. But hey the dems would get a boost. :banghead:

Apart from the fact they think the US holds jurisdiction over BRITISH Petroleum?

That's a good point they could ban them from US soil though I suppose.

That is what they're doing with the Census

I heard tell on hate radio (Rush) that the census was over hiring to get people off the rolls of UE for a few days then after they get laid off they are not eligible for UE. Not sure if it was true or not but, it wouldn't surprise me any.

I had three people come to my door to fill out my form. One looked like a real census worker, and the other two looked like trainees. (One was a very hot college chick, so I didn't mind.) But if you work for a few weeks, you can usually go back on unemployment. In fact, if you work a total of twenty weeks, you can restart your unemployment benefits from the beginning, usually with a cost of living increase, depending on the state.
