From the country that wants to regulate baseball (Cricket) bats, and other implements of mass self-defense.......

If this wasn't so pathetic, it would actually be funny..........

I guess they haven't figured out that you can stab someone with a screwdriver.......or are those "banned in Britan" too?

Their goal it appears is to produce knives 'accessible to the widest possible spectrum of society. For example, parents with young children, the elderly or infirm, those with poor motor skills, schools and colleges, catering organisations and any organisations where food preparation and safety is paramount' http://newpointknives.co.uk/Background.php
So one small company makes a product to service a niche in the market and suddenly it's OMG Britain is the country of teh debbil!!! :whatever:

Isn't a "Gaucho knife" essentially the same thing?

Not "Brit Bashing", Bij......just a comment on their tendency to attempt to remove or regulate anything that might remotely be used for "self-defence"........It was widely discussed when efforts in Parliament were launched to ban knives of certain types in private possession.....

You can possess any knife you want, some are not allowed to be carried in public places without reasonable excuse. Sure Labour have been insane with the bans and regulation of just about every area of human activity, I'm not denying that, butit's not the case that all pointed knives will be banned to be replaced with these. After all, anything can be used as a weapon. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1270063/Peter-Harvey-Moment-science-teacher-attacked-pupil-dumbbell.html)
Including of course baseball bats, (http://www.irishcentral.com/news/Natasha-McShanes-attacker-had-13-page-rap-sheet-92375114.html) which aren't banned here.

True......having lived there though, you just don't want to get caught defending yourself with one......unless it is from a violent cucumber.....

Gayest. Knives. Evar!

They look like they could still slash just fine. ::) Seriously, you can put a decent wound in a person with a nice pen...whack someone with a skillet or rolling pin...cut them with a broken bottle...it's not possible to legislate away everything that can hurt someone else. ::) ::)

Forget the point. To most effectively slice an attacker's throat, you need a curved blade. I like this one.

I think this is what your looking for for a Klingon. That knife looks more Romulan then anything.

What is the name of the knife the Scots wear in their sock?
Story I was told is that the Brits banned knives way, way back when. They were only allowed to have a very small knife to cut their food.
Dad was a member of the Scottish Rites and owned the whole get up to wear in parades etc.
