When I heard this, it made me cry.

I was watching GMA to see what Robin Roberts had to say about the oil spill. She is from Pass Christian, Mississippi, and that area was devastated by Katrina. She is one of my favorite people. She was understandably subdued and upset.

The GMA weatherman was reporting from a boat in the Gulf. It isn't good, and it's going to get a lot worse. They have let the shrimpers work under an emergency declaration in order for them to harvest what they can.
There are 400 species in the wetland areas that are threatened, and 40% of our nation's wetlands are in that area.

This was bad enough. Then the weatherman mentioned that 2 dolphins had come up to the boat and followed them for a while. That's when I cried.

the horror, the horror........

 :whatever:

I haven't checked yet, but are the DUmmies blaming Bush for this too?

When I rode tugs I use to love to watch them play in the bow wake bubbles.  They made a great early warning system when we went out to pick up subs.  The would break off and head for the sub long before we could spot it on the horizon.  Never failed, follow the dolphin find the sub. :drunksailor:

Boo hoo for the fish, but the people that lost their homes to tornadoes last week can go f*** themselves.  DUmmy logic 101.

Nobody is blaming Bush yet over there.  Give it time.

8. If those dolphins could talk...
they probably would have said, "What are you assholes doing to our water?" and after that, "Please help us".

I'm about to cry too.

What jumped into my mind immediately was the movie "The Fly."

I almost cried when I read that....knowing how the DUmmies will use it to add cost to the price of oil.

Hey, Little Goons!  Useless the oil was pulled out of Uranus, it is perfectly natural to the earth and the earth will take care of itself.  Weep not for the little shrimp (you f-ing idiot).

I wonder if the DUmmies realize how many "oil spills" are caused NATURALLY???

Oh, and this is gonna REALLY make their ****ing heads explode...

Dolphins die.  It is sad.  My concern is with the shrimpers.  Not the shrimp.  They just started getting back to steam after Katrina....and Rita.  I will be damned if I am buying shrimp from China, or Crawfish.  I hate to see China get their foot in the door again.

And when the ice caps finally all melt, then the extra weight of the water in the oceans will push out even more oil from underneath.....we have to stop global warming now or else.......

Hey, I was just trying to help Al Bore out a little.

Point being, the shrimp will be back and more dolphins will be born.  The earth takes care of itself.  It would be nice if this had not happened, but it is not such a travesty that we must change our way of life JUST BECAUSE (and, believe me, that is the underlying message).

And while I'm at it let me add:  Oil is one of the most valid reasons in the world to go to war.  "War For Oil", when necessary, is a great and important cause.  Oil is what keeps DemocratUnderground.com available on a daily bases to the Little Goons who populate that cesspool of humanity....the ones that can't live without DU.

Oil.  It's what makes dinner possible.

Oh, I agree with you completely.  I just hope next time we have an oil spill it isn't smack in front of Shrimping Season.  Jes sayin.  :-)

And yes, I like Oil.

4. They are using booms to try to

hold it out of the wetlands. They are burning it off in some places. I don't know what else they are doing. The federal government has offered to help, but I don't think they are yet. As far as I'm concerned, it's "all hands on deck" time.

The BP rep said their containment plans would work. MEH!!!

Somebody told Stephenpuss that this wasn't as bad as the Exxon Valdez. He just parroted that line.

Really DUmmy? That's what you get for thinking. Check again.

We should do more on-shore drilling.  That way, it wouldn't hurt the dolphins if something went wrong...and it'd be a lot simpler to turn it off if we didn't need robots diving thousands of feet to do it.

Its too bad we have a government that likes the idea of high oil prices, high food prices and high electricity prices.

And "spread the wealth," so the poor don't feel the government abuse so much.  This "hate the rich" theme was created to blind the poor to the fact that Uncle Sam is the one pricing them out of the things their parents could afford.

Hold on to your seats! There's a congresscritter is already tryin' to enact a moratorium on offshore drilling that the Great One recently admitted we needed. Had a "D" before his name, natch!

The whole thing smells of sab-o-taa-gee! Anybody know of the whereabouts of algore when this accident happened? Oh that's right, he was off somewhere buying another house in order to enlarge his carbon footprint! Overlooking some bay overseas, wasn't it? Complete with pool, spa, jacuzzi, etc. You know, just the amenities.

The jug-eared muslim would have wept.

If these flippers are going to be killed by the oil, why don't they let the Japanese come get them? Good meat going to waste.
Maybe that would persuade the networks to show something besides oily birds.

This is all a transparent ruse. Obama says we will do more offshore drilling. Rig mysteriously blows up. Obama drags his ass. Major environmental disaster. Now Obama has announced there will be no new drilling until this is explained.

Do they really think we are that stupid?

Hopefully this Enquirer thing will blow up in his face, and he will resign in disgrace.

Never let a crisis go to waste.  That is the motto of this administration. First there was the mine explosion, which is going to be used for more regulation of mining. Another mine in Kentucky has also had a cave-in.  Then there is the exploratory oil rig explosion and the resulting spill they are now facing on the coast. I had also heard that a second oil rig had capsized.
