Title: They've gone absolutely apeshit over this AZ law thingy
Post by: dandi on April 25, 2010, 04:04:08 PM
By "gone apeshit" I mean, "more than they normally are."

Apeshit being the baseline mental status of their members.

All this over a law that does nothing more than ICE itself would do if it had the manpower:

"It can't happen here."

No fewer than 22 threads on it on the first page of GD alone. Each one, as you can tell just from some of the titles, as lame-ass as the one before it.

Does anyone here believe this has anything in the slightest to do with the plight of the poor persecuted illegals?

This is nothing more or less than the fear and loathing of the moonbats over losing a potential block of voters. It's just that simple.

They all yearn to have a sudden brilliant  :rotf: thought that will make them famous as certain FReepers did after the CBS TANG lie.

Everyone of them has to create their own thread to see how many recs or attention the receive.

Arizona is 60% white, yet the bill has the support of 70% of polled voters.  Since it is a lock that not all whites supported it, it would mean a good sized chunk of Americans with ancestry in latin america support the measure as well.  I wonder if the Dummies will put that in their pipe and smoke it.

Maybe in the old days. Now if you come here illegally you get free healthcare, free education, free housing, food stamps, a job and a lot of free advocates. If you run a business into the ground, thats okay we'll give you a bailout. If you run a bank into the ground, thats okay the FDIC will take over and you can keep your own money and keep running for Senate in Illinois....

All paid for by the people who constitute the spine of America; the hard working Middle Class. Those that do most of the working and dying in this country. We that wear a uniform, become Marines, Sailors, Soldiers or are Policemen, Firefighters or EMT's.

It's never to late to make money on Wall Street.  I'm 33 and just starting to build a good investment portfolio.  It will serve me well when I finally call on it.

And it's a good thing they were able to give that to you. They obviously loved you and wanted to help make sure you were looked out for.

If it were up to certain "progressives," that inheritance would have been confiscated and redistributed to strangers whom they thought were more worthy, as if it was theirs to give to begin with. :banghead:

Arizona Enacts Nation's Strictest Immigration Law
Arizona governor Janet Napolitano has signed a bill widely believed to be the nation's most stringent crackdown, to date, on the employment of illegal aliens.
Remember this?

Quote
8 USC 1304(e) states that "Every alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him pursuant to subsection (d) of this section. Any alien who fails to comply with the provisions of this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction for each offense be fined not to exceed $100 or be imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both."

Quote
Abstract: Racial profiling and discrimination more broadly are often assumed to be unconstitutional and illegal. This is not always the case, however. For the judicial branch, racial discrimination is allowable if found to serve a compelling government interest, following Adarand Constructors Inc. v. Pena (1995). From the executive branch, the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice issued a “Guidance Regarding the Use of Race” which generally forbids racial profiling, but exempts national security practices.

http://www.scribd.com/doc/21968284/ICE-287-g-Participant-Workbook-Alien-Encounters

All of the items in this bill already exist as federal laws. This bill just makes it so that state and local police not only have the authority to enforce them, they have the responsibility to enforce them.

Random thoughts:

Thanks for that info, Alpha Mare.  Interesting.

That poll citing the 70%?  The DUmp just dismisses it as "trumped up."

Hannity covered the bill some in his show today.  It seems perfectly reasonable.

The other day, somebody posted at the DUmp this title:  "Am I the only one at the DU against illegal immigration?"
There were over 200 replies.  I didn't wade in.

My first husband was an immigrant, and he LOATHED illegal immigration.

I love that show, too. You guys see the episode where they were driving across the southern U.S. and they had painted stuff on each others cars like, "Man love" and "country music sucks?" Some of it looked set up but it was hilarious.

Clarkson did another program called "Meet The Neighbours" that was funny where he traveled around Europe talking to people. When he was in Spain he was narrating about how they collected subsidies from the other EU nations but gave nothing much back in return. The part where he was walking around one of their major cities trying to find someone at work was also funny.

Clarkson loves to do his share of U.S bashing for a laugh, but he seems to be a regular bloke who would take a bashing right back in good nature.

Or, are they only concerned about Mexican "illegals"?
