Let's hope this trial heats up around October this year.  We need to hear about Rezko and his ties to Chicago politics/Obama thugs.

Via IreneFingIrene, the unredacted motion, below.

The original motion to compel Obama's testimony heavily redacted.

But I have the real thing, unredacted, posted in its entirety below.

I was going to say how Irene got this, but on the off, off chance that this could happen again, I won't say how she did. I mean, there is a small chance that another redacted document, maybe something more important, might come down the pike, and maybe Irene will be able to give it to us.

Suspicions This Was Deliberate: I voiced my own in the thread. Seems a lot of people are saying so.

If the court wanted this redacted -- but Blago's lawyers didn't -- they could get the accusations of Obama and bribery out there by having an "oopsie" moment.

Note the allegation is that a "public official" (Obama, they mean) was offered a bribe but declined it.

IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT
FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF ILLINOIS
EASTERN DIVISION
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA )
)
v. ) 08CR888
)
) Judge James B. Zagel
ROD BLAGOJEVICH )
MOTION FOR THE COURT TO ISSUE A TRIAL SUBPOENA TO
PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA
Now Comes Defendant Rod Blagojevich, by and through his counsels and hereby
requests this court issue a subpoena ad testificandum for President Barack Obama. In support of
said motion, defendant states the following:1
1. President Barack Obama was elected November 4, 2008 and was inaugurated January
20, 2009. Before being elected President, Mr. Obama was a United States Senator
from Illinois.
2. As a result of the election of Mr. Obama, his Senate seat was open for appointment by
Governor Rod Blagojevich.
3. The charges against Mr. Blagojevich stem from his appointment of President-elect
Obama’s vacated Senate seat.
4. According to media reports, President Obama was interviewed by two United States
attorneys and two FBI agents for two hours.2
1 Although it is the defense’s position that all tapes and sealed information be made public, to comply with the
Protective Order of April 14, 2009, portions that contain sealed information provided by the government have been
redacted. The defense, however, urges this Court unseal the entire motion. See, this court’s order dated April 14,
2010 (document 305) “Redaction, in cases where the redacted words are relevant to the case and considered in
reaching a decision, is still permitted but discouraged.” See In re Krynicki, 983 F.2d 74, 75 (7th Cir. 1992)
(“Information that is used at trial or otherwise become the basis of decision enters the public record.”) (citation
omitted). The case for redaction has to be proven not presumed. ... But it is clear that the remedy to the objection
that a portion of a statement may be misleading to the public (and the jury pool) is not redaction but disclosure of the
omitted portion. Disclosure of written material a month and a half before the beginning of trial does not come close
to presenting a significant threat that a fair jury cannot be found. The experience of the courts in cases which attract
significant news coverage has shown that pretrial news reporting is an overstated menace to fair jury trials.”

Telegraph, December 26, 2008.

5. On December 19, 2009, the defense filed a Motion for Discovery. In that motion, the
defense requested all notes, transcripts, and reports generated from the government’s
interview of President Barack Obama.
6. As of today’s date, the defense has not received any notes, transcripts, or reports from
President Obama’s interview with the government. ....

The motion, intended to be heavily redacted, was improperly edited -- the full document was easily viewable if the text is copied and pasted to another document.

Below, the six revelations the redacted portions were meant to conceal.

As funny as it is, I don't think it was unintentional.  These guys have been playing dirty pool their entire lives.  I would not be surprised if they tried to get the suit thrown out because of this (or moved to a friendlier jurisdiction), or any number of "favors".

Okay . . . I think I'll start a pool on which Dem will introduce the Articles of Impeachment.  Thing is, it won't happen until the Republicans retake the House and Senate . . . so it'll happen next year.

The blacked-out portions of a subpoena request filed by lawyers for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich -- which were revealed through a simple computer trick -- suggest President Obama may have played a role in finding his own Senate replacement.

CHICAGO -- The blacked-out portions of a subpoena request filed by lawyers for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich -- which were revealed through a simple computer trick -- suggest President Obama may have played a role in finding his own Senate replacement.

On Thursday, Blagojevich's lawyers asked a federal judge to subpoena the president to testify about questions surrounding the government's allegation that Blagojevich was selling or trading Obama's Senate seat after his election to the White House in November 2008.

"President Barack Obama has direct knowledge of the Senate seat allegation," reads Blagojevich's 11-page motion, filed with U.S. District Judge James B. Zagel.

The court erred when it posted the motion in a pdf file with redactions that could be revealed simply by copying and pasting the blacked-out portions to a plain text file.

Just heard that Turban Durbin has been subpoenaed as well.

LINK (http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-04-23/durbin-says-he-was-subpoenaed-for-blagojevich-trial-update1-.html)

U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, the chamber’s No. 2 Democrat, said he was subpoenaed by the defense to testify in the June 3 corruption trial of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.

“Whether I’m going to be called, I don’t know,” Durbin said, adding that he received the subpoena “several” weeks ago. “But, you know, a subpoena is an order of the court to appear. And if I’m called to appear, I will.”

Blagojevich’s lawyers are asking the federal judge overseeing his case to compel President Barack Obama to testify in order to dispute allegations against the impeached governor.

U.S. District Judge James Zagel will consider that request on April 30. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs wouldn’t comment on the possibility of the president being subpoenaed in the case.

Would'nt it be a kick in the head if Blago was the first pebble to eventually launch a landslide that would build & build until it finally buried this so-called "administration"?

All those crooked Obama backroom deals made in Chicago coming to light

I'm sure that Blago is going to go on a Great Lakes fishing trip from which he will never return in the not too distant future.

I tend to agree.  The subpoena will be quashed. The case against Blago will either be dropped or he will be given a plea deal so that no trial happens.

True. The far left liberal controlled media will bury the story, and the average American that watches the NBC evening news thinking they're informed will go on their merry way. Most Americans spend more time planning their vacation than learning the facts.

Exactly...and if this type of situation were to occur during a Republican watch, it would be on the homepage of every internet website and on the BreakingNews ticker of every cable and local news channel.
But we all know a different set of rules applies during a democrat presidency.

Or a, dare we admit it, a presidency where the #1 man  is black and the #2 man (Emmanuel) is a Jew.
