Bill Clinton’s highly publicized linking of the Tea Party movement to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing
Dick Morris: Bill Clinton Personally Orchestrated the 1993 Waco, Texas Tragedy
By Fred Dardick Tuesday, April 20, 2010
It looks like somebody is going to have to update the Waco Siege page on Wikipedia. Apparently the whitewashed history that former President Bill Clinton would like us to believe regarding the 1993 federal assault on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, is missing important details regarding his own personal involvement.
In response to Bill Clinton’s highly publicized linking of the Tea Party movement to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing in an op-ed piece for the New York Times, former Clinton adviser Dick Morris disclosed on Monday that it was Clinton himself, and not Attorney General Janet Reno, as Americans have been led to believe for the past 17 years, who called the shots during the 1993 botched invasion that led to the death of seventy-six people.
Speaking on the Hannity program on the Fox News Network, Morris criticized Clinton for his Oklahoma City comments: “Let’s understand what was Timothy McVeigh’s motivation …he himself had said that it was the reaction to the Waco takeover. Bill Clinton orchestrated that takeover.â€
Morris went on to say, “Clinton in fact was so ashamed about what he did in Waco that he was not going to appoint Janet Reno to a second four-year term. She told him in a meeting right before the inauguration day … ‘If you don’t appoint me I’m going to tell the truth about Waco.’ And that forced Clinton’s hand … It’s never been said (publicly) before.â€
For years, Clinton has been criticized for his leadership of the federal government during the Waco crisis, but he has managed to escape personal responsibility for the tragedy. With Morris’s statements, it appears this may no longer be possible. It would seem that Clinton was far more intimately involved with the government response at Waco than previously reported.
While there may be a link between Clinton and the Oklahoma City bombing, I would hardly blame the actions of a psychopath on any one individual or political party.
However, for Clinton to associate such a horrible act of violence with freedom loving Americans, especially given the fact that he must be fully aware that it was his decisions that led to the Waco catastrophe which in turn inspired Timothy McVeigh, is remarkably shameless.

Nobody but the press believed Janet Reno when she took the fall for him back when it happened. Our 'Free press' sure luvs them some Democrat superstars, though.

Hi,
I lived in Austin when that happened and was flying from Dallas to Austin and observed the fires from the air.
Clinton is an amoral person, he would do anything to try to improve his image including invade Haiti. Had a long, long letter from Senator Nunn who was part of the contingent who went to baby doc and told him to get out of dodge because our idiot president was serious about invading them. Sam appointed my son to the naval academy and we had corresponded from time to time over the years. It was shortly after the Haiti incident (non-incident fortunately) that he announced he would not run for re-election.
Sam sent me a four page letter and basically said the he, Carter and Powell all tried to talk Clinton out of it. When they could not they then asked to go down to Haiti and talk to baby doc. When the reached an agreement the bombers were in the air.
This is the same president who had Bin Laden in his gun sights and was chicken to issue the order. Read the book "Dereliction of Duty" and the situation is described in first person by an air force colonel who witnessed what went on. I had the priviledge of meeting Schwartzkof shortly after reading the book and asked him about the incident as described and he said the book was 100% accurate.
I just wish Clinton would keep eating his big macs and milk shakes and fade away.

Clinton is just a dumb hick that made it way too far in my opinion

To me he always seemed to be a classic high-functioning sociopath. He would say or do whatever it took to be popular and get what he wanted, right or wrong be damned, but any commitment in the words he uttered ceased to have meaning for him the moment they were out of his mouth. These people live only in the moment, for them there is no past and no tomorrow, but they are incredibly convincing and persuasive because they themselves believe the BS they are uttering while they are saying it. As soon as it's out of their mouths and they are in another setting, it's like it never happened, of course. This particular variety of headcase can actually be a lot of fun to be around, at least as long as they have money (Usually someone else's) and right up until their flawed mental processes bring down a day reckoning on their heads...

Wow, I always thought Janet Reno had balls...this just proves it.

Liberal SOP: "It's somebody else's fault. I'm just a victim."
Even the dumbasses they nominate for President aren't any different.

Yeah, why even the impotent VIAGRA selling candidate had more balls than Clinton.

I hope Dick Morris grows eyes on the back of his head.

Hi Tank,
Couple of things.
1. This is a great article about Clinton and his remarks:
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/political_commentary/commentary_by_tony_blankley/there_bill_clinton_goes_again
2. Clinton was so mentally screwed up they stated many times that he would have one guy come into his office and take a strong stand on one issue and Clinton, who wanted to be loved, would agree with him. Then fifteen minutes later another person would go into his office and take the entire opposite position and Clinton would sit there, smile and totally agree with him. Problem with a guy like that, he never felt he was lying, you could put him on a lie detector and he would pass it.
Years ago I made one of the bigger mistakes of my career. I had a guy who I worked with at a major client who was loved by everyone, his name was (ficticious) John. Now John worked in the field, then the home office and he knew well how his company functioned. A job came up as a national accounts manager for one of their top accounts and I highly recommend him. I knew the client would love him and he had enough friends and knowledge inside the organization that he could function. Now the company he worked for was in the information business, they gathered certain data and then sold it to their clients in various reports.
Well less than fours years in to his job he was fired for good reason. It seems that the client wanted their information tailored in this and that fashion. He would meet with their top executives and they would get into heated discussions and he would agree to their demands. Then he would go into his own company with those demands and his internal people would take a strong position on what they could or could not do and the pressure would mount and he would agree with them.
Well eventually the client stopped paying the bill. Their reason was the company was not delivering what they had been promised by their national account rep. The VP of sales went in and talked with the client and they documented what they had been promised, showed him letters and responses from John outlining the promises. He then went in to his internal people and found a similar paper trail that told them no problem it would work their way for the client. Bottom line was his need to be like by everyone was so strong he could not deal with the stress or pressure, he just gave in.
To me that was what the reports were on Clinton.
He sold out his own party on welfare reform. He issued an executive order to take out Bin Laden, then, when they had him in their crosshairs, jets were on the runway with engines going, he chickened out and would not give them the "go" order and Bin Laden disappeared thirty minutes later.
He is, was, and will always be a wimpo and failure in my eyes and in the eyes of many who knew him well from what I gather. The balls in the family belonged to Hillary. The stories of her viscious profanity laced tirades were legendary.
