Tanning salons call sin tax unfair
The list of sin taxes just got longer, and some local people are getting heated over a new levy they say unfairly singles out one industry.
This time it's a tanning tax.
Starting July 1, tanning salons across the nation will charge a 10 percent tax on tanning bed and booth services, excluding spray tans. Also, the Food and Drug Administration is considering new tanning rules that may include banning people with pale skin.
"This is our livelihood," said Sarah Parker, owner of Hue, one of an estimated 50 tanning salons in Nashville. "I am not necessarily opposed to the policies. For me, the larger issue is the tax should be across the board, maybe tax all potentially carcinogenic products."

Sorry, suckers. The jug-eared Kenyan's most loyal base doesn't use or need tanning salons.

Ban paleface from tanning?
Doesn't that defeat the purpose?
Notice that out of ALL the new taxes the media focus on something "frivilous" and not one of the taxes that is going to smack everyone.

People that go to tanning salons are probably narcissistic metrosexuals and women. O-holes core constituancy. So how's that Hope and Change thing workin' out for ya'? Losers. :lmao:

Why not use the Sun for tanning? Both give UVs either way. At least the Sun is more natural and free.

...At least the Sun is... free.
Until the MessiahnFuhrer comes up with a way to tax that too.
