Little Rock, AR - A Pulaski County circuit judge has overturned Arkansas' law banning unmarried couples living together from adopting or fostering children, finding that the measure infringes on a person's right to privacy.
The law effectively banned gays and lesbians from adopting or fostering children because they are unable to legally marry in Arkansas.
Circuit Court Judge Chris Piazza said in a two-page ruling Friday that people in "non-marital relationships" are forced to choose between becoming a parent and sustaining that relationship.
Piazza agreed with claims by families who said the ban lessened the number of available adoptive and foster parents to the point where thousands of children could go without homes.
He said the ban cast "an unreasonably broad net" and did not serve the state's interest.

Let's look at this through most state laws and a Christian's eyes. The main reason that gays aren't allowed to "marry" in many states is because people consider homosexuality immoral. Christians (the REAL ones) also consider it immoral. With this law being overturned, would it not also be just as "lawful" to allow drug users, thieves, or other criminals to adopt under the thinking that this judge has considered?? In reality and under this judge's ruling, it is conceivable that even a pedophilic couple could adopt, at least with the precedent he is establishing.

I don't agree with his ruling but I also don't believe every homosexual is a pedophile either

Crap I give up.
I am tired of debating "libertarians" who think "medical" pot for kids is a swell idea.
