I just thought of another of our colleagues, who's been gone for a while--since February 2, 2009, to be exact, which is a long time ago now.
Anybody know if John C. Calhoun continues to thrive and prosper?
I surely hope so, because I always liked John C.
Remember, John C.'s grouchy old curmudgeonism was always an act; in real life, he makes Santa Claus look like Ebenezer Scrooge.
The balm of aloe, the milk of human kindness, our colleague John C.
Has anybody heard from him the past 14 months?

Not to ruin the thread but i think His last visit here wasn't well recieved. If I remember correctly he was pushing for RonPaul or something equally stupid as per his MO and the thread went south from there.

Oh.

John C got his stupid, hysterical but no discussion nonsense called out and ridiculed about a year ago from a couple of us.
He slunk away to thankfully not be heard from since.
Riddance to idiotic rubbish.
-
I must have missed all of that.
I was aware, vaguely, John C. was acting curmudgeonly, but didn't ascribe it to Paulism or anything. I figured he went away because he was tired of acting, but didn't think he'd stay away this long.

He was going on and on about how Rush was hurting our chances and was just in it for the money.
I told him to show a candidate that was somehow beaten and to get rid of the histrionics because I counted them as foolish and proof of a simple mind.
He did not do the former and tried to continue the latter, when he realized his little game was exposed and over he ran away.
Not the first or the last from either end of the political spectrum that will survive here on chest thumping or table pounding when they can`t intelligently back up their arguments.

You remember the "athiest" Matt12 from our old home, Carl?
He was a younger version of John C.
-
I think he joined the ranks of Gator.

I to ka quick look over at the old home and didn't find any sign of him but he was known to be off there for awhile too. I however did find a thread about one of Gators favorite subjects ,The USS Liberty were it seems that one of the residents there took Gator to the wood shead and caught him lying about something. It went on for over 30+ pages before it got locked up.

I'm not sure if John C. ever returned to CU after the crash two years ago.
Just looked it up, and his name is not in the members list.

I always liked JCC. He is a fellow Vermonter, and offered to haul a backhoe up here to my place if I ever needed to bury a dead DUmmy, so friends like that you don't let go of lightly. :evillaugh:
Plus the real John C. Calhoun was a dear friend of one of my ancestors.
