Woman Killed In I-65 Motorcycle Wreck
Speed, Alcohol Cited In Fatal Crash
updated 22 minutes ago
WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. - Police said speed and alcohol played a part in a fatal motorcycle crash Wednesday night that killed a woman on Interstate 65 in Robertson County.
The wreck occurred at about midnight near mile marker 108 at the Springfield-White House exit.
Police said a motorcycle with a man and woman on it was going too fast in the northbound lanes when the woman fell off the back of the bike. Jennifer Howeth Malone of White House, Tenn., was hit several times by other vehicles and pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was hurt.
Investigators said alcohol was a factor, but no charges have been filed yet.
This was a terrible accident, but I can't get this T-shirt out of my mind:

Yike. drunk, speeding, night time....
they were begging for it.
The man could be charged with something like negligent homicide I bet.

A high school classmate of mine was killed on a motorcycle last Sunday. He was hit head-on by a semi who was trying to pass on a two-lane highway.

And here I was, thinking about taking Rt. 125 home to save a buck on tolls. Guess I won't be doing that now.

Crap, Ralph! Sorry to hear that! Been run over twice in my time. Been damn lucky both times. Still have a screw in my ankle from the first, second just tried to sand off my left side with asphalt. Both drivers swore they never saw me!
Scooters are just no match for anything else on the road, especially an 18 wheeler! Have they charged the guy or at least ticketed him?

Thanks Go, I have not thought about White House in years. The most interesting thing about that area was the local laundry mart they named the " Wishie Washie" and the biker beer bars up in the woods with shacks out back for the bikers on the run to hide out from the LAW.
In two words, the life saver is called the Sissie Bar.
Just once in my life did I ride with an open end and thank GOD I stayed glued to the seat.
Never again will I ride a crotch rocket regardless who is controlling the beast.
