Quote
Another prominent Christian music artist has come out of the closet.

In interviews this week with Reuters, Christianity Today, and a prominent homosexual publication, Dove Award-winning and Grammy-nominated musician Jennifer Knapp made public that she is a lesbian who has been in a relationship with a woman for eight years. The announcement comes roughly one month before the release of her new album titled "Letting Go" and after several years' hiatus from the music scene.

Reuters alludes to "rumors about her sexuality" over the past several years -- rumors her Christian fans "faithfully shot down" -- but quotes her saying about her concerts: "I'm definitely getting a lot more friendly winks from the girls than I have in the past." And she told Christianity Today that she is not a "pro-gay activist" but "just a normal human being who's dealing with normal everyday life scenarios. As a Christian, I'm doing that as best as I can."

Knapp is not the first high-profile Christian artist to admit to the homosexual lifestyle. Less than two years ago Ray Boltz made a similar public announcement after divorcing his wife of 33 years.

HMMMMMMMM.  Are we not taught that the kingdom of Heaven is open to ALL as long as they accept Jesus Christ.??

Are we not forgiven our sins when we truly repent.??

Strange that cultures that have never heard of Jesus will go to hell while the monsters that repent get an open door policy.

If you're wallowing in a homosexual relationship for 8 years and publicly declare it for your own glory among fellow homosexuals, are you truly repentant?

You aren't repentant if your still doing it and thinks its okay.

I never listen to or buy music anyway.

But how many people sin till the very end of their lives and who is to say if they are forgiven? I heard once in a sermon many many years ago "Heaven is a huge suprise party because you are suprised who is not there but even more suprised who is."

The only obvious sign of salvation is the repentance, the changed heart, the changed behaviors from the working of the Holy Spirit.  A person that is accepting of the promptings of the Holy Spirit will not remain in sin.  However, it does seem to be possible for a person to be saved and still willfully disobedient...which is why we can never judge another person's salvation.  HOWEVER, we are given both the right and responsibility to judge the actions of others, which is why I would never purchase any music or other material from a sinning believer...and would support the actions of a church to discipline and disciple a sinning believer in an attempt to bring them back within God's Will.  We are, after all, our brother's keepers.
