Wow. NYT wins this week's award for most misleading headline (Tea Party Backers More "Educated?"?)
Edited on Wed Apr-14-10 11:28 PM by WayneFrancis
Here is the headline:

Poll Finds Tea Party Backers Wealthier and More Educated
By KATE ZERNIKE and MEGAN THEE-BRENAN
Published: April 14, 2010

blah blah rest of article you've probably seen

The poll referenced in the article probably does show something that indicates this sample of "Tea Party Backers" have some education, but it should be heavily scrutinized, because it is most definitely an anomaly, considering the great amount of polls that consistently suggest Democrats, liberals, progressives, etc., are more educated than self-identified conservatives, and the average American.

17. Rich people send their kids to college, and the kids get passed because if they
didn't, their rich parents might sue the school--and certainly wouldn't give money to the school. But like G. W. Bush, these kids don't actually get an education while they take up space in college. They just get drunk and network with their future cronies.

16. I believe the people who wrote the article have a personal interest
in this...maybe an uncle or brother that is a racist piece of RW shit, but they love them anyways.

20. "All the shit made up we print" n/t

I just thought this was funny for all of the "Can't be!  Can't friggin be!"   And how old and tired is the bad spelling meme?  I have only seen one instance of misspelling--someone misspelled "hypocrite" once.   BFD.

They just can't wrap their two brain cells (total) around the idea that there may be some well-educated people that don't think like them.

Yes primitives, we're more intelligent than you could ever hope to be, we're more educated, we have common sense (you have none), and we have a lot more money than you.  That's always been the case and this article is old news.

Now, just go back to falsely believing you hold any worth other than the entertainment value you provide as you let the world read all your stupid little "thoughts," and quit concerning yourselves with things you not only can't change, but have no business even considering it.

(spits in their face as they sit there and take it)

Zoe must be referring to DUmmies, because all of the above is due to laziness, drugs, and crayon scribble on the computer screen....

Every survey I've seen says that conservatives and people who listen to talk radio are better educated and more intelligent than those who don't....

IOW, we don't waste our time listening/watching Madcow and Stuporman on MesSNBC....

The DUmmies kill me with their "All Conservatives are Stoopid!" claims.  Yes, many liberals are well educated; go to any college and figure that out, but do they honestly believe that those evil corporations are run by people who can't read or spell?  Also, have they forgotten that a good number of non-high school graduates vote Democrat?  That goes into the averages too.

Do they really believe that our Military Scientist and Engineers are idiots and couldn't tie their own shoes?  (Not saying that everyone in the Military is conservative, but a number are). Not all conservatives are Mensa geniuses, but we have our share of brilliant people.  The fact that the DUmmies refuse to even consider the thought really says more about their own prejudices than anything else...

I've kind of given up caring about what they say about us.  The "Freepers are racist, uneducated & generally stupid" meme is COMPLETELY worn out.  I think they say it just to make themselves feel superior.

Look it only makes sense (in a drug addled brain) that successful contributors to society are the stupid ones.

The OP whines about how there is no link to the actual poll, but if you go to the referenced article, there is a link to the poll right there in front of your face. I suspect the OP is a Tea Party member moling DU. Of course, none of the DUmmies actually went to the article and noted that link.

There are also published reports that lefties are trying to infiltrate Tea Party events with misspelled and racist signs, so we can assume that anything off color or misspelled seen at a Tea Party event is probably a DUmmy in disguise.

It's rather ironic that the same DUmmies who claim genius IQs, are barely able to function in society.

I suspect that it's only the very DUmbest elements of either side who wave hand-lettered signs at demonstrations. Spelling errors should not come as a surprise.
