Democratic Congresswoman Insists Health Care Law Doesn't Require Individuals to Buy Insurance

Quote
CNSNews.com) – At an April 5 town hall meeting in Fort Lauderdale, a constituent asked Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) where the Constitution authorized Congress to mandate that individuals buy health insurance. She responded that the new health care law did not require individuals to buy health insurance. In a written statement to CNSNews.com on Wednesday, her press secretary said it was true that the health care law does not mandate that individuals buy health insurance and that Wasserman Schultz stands by her assertion.

“Yes, this is accurate,” Beeton, Wassup's press secretary)]/b] (my comment), said in his statement to CNSNews.com.  “You have a choice of insuring yourself with affordable coverage, or paying an assessment that will offset the burden you place on other insured Americans and taxpayers by not being insured.”

As has been pointed out many times;  The young who don't need insurance will pay the small fine to avoid the higher cost of insurance UNTIL they need insurance.  Now with the Pre-existing Clause gone they will wait until the MUST have health ins. then run out and buy it on the rest of our backs.

This thing is a nightmare on many levels.

What's a real pisser is I pay top dollar for my insurance, over and above what I get from the company. This bull shirt is going to make it so I will no longer be able to afford it. I'm more than likely going to have to pay the same for less service, higher deductibles, and be forced to go to a doctor I don't know from Adam!

Where is it I bow to "The Great One" again, out in back of the outhouse?

It's not like she knew what was in it when she voted for it to pass, why should we expect her to understand it now?
