Title: On Basilisk Station by David Weber

I was checking out the Baen Books free library (old, out of print books put online for free) and found a sci-fi book called "On Basilisk Station" by David Weber. So far, about half way through this book is very friendly for a conservative to read. The government of Manticore (or whatever) is like the UK Parliament and the Liberals seem to be the bad guys there. The story revolves around a farflung territory called Basilisk Station, which could be compared to the Falklands a little or India maybe.
