I think he meant it as a joke (in typical right-wing blowhard style of joking, anyway) but the audience didn't even bat an eye before it start applauding and cheering.

Some caller tried to invoke "context" to explain the statement...as if it were a joke.
First of all, if you have to explain a joke...it's not funny.
Second, It's not funny in any context.
Seriously, WTF is wrong with these people?

Ok maybe I can splain this to you DUmmies. What Hannity did was like when gay people call themselves queers and fags with the intent of making fun of people who call them that.
