The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a letter sent to Gov. Rick Perry as part of what's reported to be a nationwide effort by an anti-government group.
The Associated Press reported that it obtained an internal intelligence note by the FBI and Department of Homeland Security saying that as of Wednesday, more than 30 governors had received letters saying if they don't leave office within three days they will be removed...
DPS spokeswoman Tela Mange said, "The governor did receive one of those letters, and the DPS has opened a criminal investigation."
The agency isn't discussing the letter further, Mange said

They say there were no threats in the letters but opening a criminal investigation anyway.
The website was registered last month and is owned by CopperCards which is an AlexJones-Ron Paul type of site. Apparently 30 Governors got the letters.

Yeah, I'm confused as to exactly what authority these clowns would be acting under, or what they think they're going to accomplish by such a gesture.

It's ron-****ing-paul. Logic has nothing to do with it.

If we hear no more about this, then it was DUmmies doing it to discredit the right.

That is their famous logic :sarcasm:

I agree. This is democrat activism designed to set the foundations of outlawing all dissent.
They are desperate to counter the Tea party. This is a strategy for the Nov 2010 elections.

RATIONALE
For those who are concerned about opening the door to satanic forces, permit me to reassure you. The Guardian Elders deliberated with great sobriety the wisdom of sitting on our hands while the march to World War III continues. We asked ourselves if we could continue, in good conscience, to do nothing while so many of our friends and colleagues are suffering hardship. We asked ourselves if we are enjoined by the Book of Revelation from acting on behalf of freedom and mankind. After much prayer and soul-searching, we concluded unanimously that the need for action was self-evident. We are called to action.
Eventually we concluded that “agreeing with thine enemy†was the ONLY prayerful way to bring the Lord to the people. The Restore America Plan capitalizes on THEIR belief system as a vehicle for relieving corporate tyranny. In due time, the higher goal of salvaging the souls of mankind can be addressed.
The one common belief that ties the American population together is faith in the Constitution. Many Americans are willing to fight and die in its defense even as they blindly trade notes of debt issued by a foreign bank. We decided that restoring, in principle, the Constitutional institutions through December 19, 1860 was the approach MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED (and that's the bottom line, failure being unacceptable).
I don't think they've been paying attention.

Page 6:
"You are ordered to direct..."
First, of all the entire letter is premised on the idea that the governors are illegitimate...but they are telling the governors to give orders...which would be illegitimate if their premise is true.
Second, if these idiots could give orders to governors they wouldn't need the governors to give orders for them.
Third, they can't give orders because they aren't elected, they are self-appointed...a very unconstitutional way of doing business.
And then they proceed to layout gator's wet dream.
A bunch of frilly words doesn't make you look any smartererish.

Anyone on the board who still drinks the Paul Koolaid, let this be a warning to you.
Either that, or we can just post pics of your head on a stake on the homepage. Your choice.

I don't think many on CC are "on board" with this wacko group, but the letter in and of itself doesn't seem criminal.

Looking at the letter, it sure looks like a Ron Paul minion production. A lot of Paultard talking points.
