kirk has a false reputation as a moderate republican in the house. Now he won the primary for senate and unfortunately, I think he is going to win. But his opponent is having some fun with him.

Mark Kirk may be a "fake moderate" in DUmmyland, but he CLEARLY is a moderate Republican.  I respect the guy for a lot of things despite some questionable votes over the years, and I certainly hope he wins.  He won't be a RINO like Susan Collins or Olympia Snowe, but he'll definitely be on the moderate side of things.
